I am a substitute teacher for both Pinellas and Hillsborough counties in Florida. I find it really sad that the girl was not allowed and critized for singing the national anthem at her high school. I BELIEVE SHE DID A FANTASTIC JOB.
We should try to boost the morale and self esteem of children in our schools when they do something positive. She said nothing and did nothing negative. She did a great job. I have a biracial grandson and feel this is a racial thing. If she were white would people have complained?
