You have to think smart and not compromise your position just to get a few laughs. Buy a joke book, stupid. Now, he will lose everything he has built-up.

It goes to show you that police are no different then the rest of the criminals out there they just sometimes get away with it an in this case the chief got what he deserves. Maybe the state need to look at police and get background checks on them as well before they become offiers even chiefs.

Background checks would be fine as long as it included weeding out ex military that still like to yell, shout orders, and act like theyre still in the military. Oh wait, then there wouldnt be any cops.

Why didn't you all know they are above the law. Their motto is "Don't do as I do, do as I say". I still laugh about the trooper clocked at 147 MPH. And, it took four days to issue the ticket. Wonder how long they would wait before hauling me in?

Every profession has bad apples. Doctors, teachers, lawyers, clergy, sales etc...It is so easy to bash the police, but all of you posters with your smart remarks would most definately call them when in need. How many of us would risk our lives for 25-35 thousand a year. I am not at all defending this mans actions, but simply pointing out that just because you got a speeding or parking ticket does not give you the right to bash a group of men and women that protect the public. I simply obey the laws and do not have to deal with overbearing or agressive cops. Why do you people have so much contact with them.

Pretty simple K. Because we are the public, and they are public servants......

You'd expect contact with your constiuents, since you are being paid to serve them.

Or am I out in left field on that one?

I think it is safe to say that the portion of cops who are CRIMINALS like this LYING, UNETHICAL, AMORAL LOSER is much higher the the portion of criminals in the general US population.

Way too many are greedy, unethical A-HOLES on power and ego trips

Just love the IDIOTS who think BAD COPS are only a problem for who they deem criminals. BAD COPS AFFECT EVERYONE, regardless of whether you've had contact with them or not.

The same idiots gladly give up their constitutional rights because only criminals want "rights"

I don't think your in left field at all. But I really do not believe that the negative comments come from casual contact between cops and the general public. With the crime levels and lack of funding most communities are not fortunate enough to have routine contact with those serving them. It seems most agencies are reactive not proactive. Nonetheless my point is that by catagorizing a group due to acts of a few is no different than racial profiling, which is obviously wrong.
