I voted by absentee ballot this year, and my ballot had 2 series of numbers on it. The return envelope has my name and address already printed on it, with the sames 2 series of numbers - where's the "privacy" ? First time I've voted by absentee ballot, so I'm just asking....... I honestly don't care if anyone knows who I voted for, but I did think there was supposed to be anonymity involved in the process.
Huh???? Point is???? Your DID cast a private vote, the #'s are for accounting and tracking of registered voters, which precinct your from, etc. You still have the choice to vote physically at a precinct. Wow, you find a gripe about most anything. By the way, I hear they are hiring at the Highlands.

Did you even read what I wrote ? It was not griping, I was merely asking a a question. Thanks for the enlightenment, your majesty.

By the way, I don't need a job at the Highlands. I'm a county employee. How ya like me now ?

You asked a question and I supplied you with information. No need to be rude, but you are who you are. Just remember YOU were the one first complaining about your county job not me. I replied to your complaints. As for my liking you, don't know you but base an opinion on how you present yourself. Seem to be angry, on the attack and interested in childish namecalling. This is not productive. Goodbye, good luck, no comments in closing.

Well I would like to applaud the 12235 people that did not vote for Fred Thompson. It is a shame that the list of candidates included these four because a majority of the voters say, enough with Thompson.

I would like to also thank the 14,842 voters that DID NOT VOTE FOR NIPPERT. I bet that you never dreamed that there were so many intelligent people that lived in this county. Maybe now that the election is over, he can continue to receive the help that he so obviously needs. Remember, the sun will continue to rise, and life will continue to go on. I hope that one day, he will be able to let go of all this anger and hatered he feels towards people. I know that if I was one of his so called best friends and love him like you claim to, I would try to help him because he probably was a teriffic person at one time, and probably could be again.

I was just curious, you said that it was a shame that the list of candidates included these "4" men. My question is didn't you heavily support Donnie Nippert? Just asking.

As for the "intelligent people" in the county comment, I believe they were largely unheard from; as there were no Republicans on this ticket. Anyone who reads these blogs can see an attitude and demeanor that is base and hateful and repeated by nearly every Democrat these days. It's a shame.
There is a solid piece of advise many of you should consider; never argue with an idiot, it may be hard for someone else to tell the difference. As an onlooker I'm sure the majority of you are not idiots, I sure can hope so anyway, but when I read through here it's very hard to tell.
For all of you who's "guy" you supported didn't win, maybe you would have served him better spreading a kind or positive word about him in the community. For those that supported Fred, good for you. I'm sure none of them would have wanted any part of the type of mud that was slung here..........maybe one....and stuff like that there.

A refresher in reading comprehension might be in your best interests. At no point did I ever gripe about my job, but whatever. Not sure where your assessment of my being "angry" comes from, but I'm not sure where half of what you wrote came from, either. I'm outta here, but feel free to respond as I'd bet you're the type that needs to get the last word in te feel superior. Better things to do......later,all :)

Thank you for such a nice comment. If our County Prosecutor is endorsing Mr. Nipper for Sheriff that should speak for it's self!
Just because the county prosecutor introduced Nippert to someone does not mean he is endorsing him. Get a grip.

Deputy Bob got drunk and was being his usual obnoxious self. He picked on a guy and beat him pretty badly....Happened at the Beech Hill Bar.

Ummmm....I have a sneaky feeling that the post by the "Dave Lucas support group" was made tongue in cheek. Sarcasm, as it were. A rather weak poke at Dave Lucas, in my opinion.
