I grew up in Concord and moved to L.A. in my 20's. Came back in my 40's and wow. What happened? The Detroit and Ellis area was a place that I rode my bicycle to from Hemlock Dr. alone at 8years old . I would meet my friends at Ellis lake and fish all day long . Could you imagine allowing a young child to go to Ellis Lake today unattended? Remember the gokarts on Monument? That was another place that an 8year old could go for a good time. Not now. Yes Monument is that bad. What can we do about it now?

We can stop the spread of that kind of thing, then eventually push the line in that direction.
