4 in 5 U.S. adults face near-poverty, no work
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/exclusive-4-5-...

Four out of 5 U.S. adults struggle with joblessness, near poverty or reliance on welfare for at least parts of their lives, a sign of deteriorating economic security and an elusive American dream.

Survey data exclusive to The Associated Press points to an increasingly globalized U.S. economy, the widening gap between rich and poor and loss of good-paying manufacturing jobs as reasons for the trend.

The findings come as President Barack Obama tries to renew his administration's emphasis on the economy, saying in recent speeches that his highest priority is to "rebuild ladders of opportunity" and reverse income inequality.

Elect Filipino slate and we will be on our way to prosperity with a casino hotel entertainment complex. The world will be ours when the ferry starts bringing tourists from SF right to MI.
Build wealth, elect Filipino slate!!

The Gomers say casino will bring more crime. Wrong!! Prosperity will build wealth and we can hire more police to drive a good deal of crime right out of town! Restore special units, bicycle officers, etc.
Build wealth, improve education, vote Filipino slate!!

Gomes insults Native Americans when she links a casino to more crime. We are having more crime because of her stubborn ideology. What an irony, eh?

Idiot. Crime around casinos is a given--it has nothing to do with being anti Native American

I said the Native Americans were insulted by Gomes statement. Nothing to do with her being anti-Native American. Do you understand the difference, now?

That is arguable. However, crime around Vallejo is not. Some studies have indicated that crime around casinos increases 8%. So what ? Look at the increase we've had with poor employment opportunities and decreased police force. At the rate Vallejo is going the crime rate is going to continue to rise with or without a Casino. A casino will at least provide cash to the GF (if not diverted to to PB) to help fight crime. H3ll, the employment alone from a casino is a crime prevention tool.

Excellent point! With a Filipino majority, a casino entertainment hotel complex is on it's way. Big name entertainment venue, gambling, hotel/convention center. Come on! To quote Tony Pearsall, it's a true "win-win" for the community. Job opportunities and a restored flow of cash into our GF. Simple. If Gomers keep majority it WILL NOT happen. We need to get it started NOW, it will take a few years what with all the agencies involved.
Build wealth! Vote Filipino slate!!

In a couple of years the ferry from SF will dock on the Mare Island side. We need to give the world a destination to tie in with their visit to SF. It's a gold mine with gambling and entertainment tailored for the international market. They can take a smaller water taxi up to Napa, Wine Train comes on Mare Island, the possibilities are staggering!
This is our time, Vallejo! Out with Gomers in 2013!!
Build wealth, not walls!!
