My guess is that "Jim" was one of the idiots who voted for Prop 1A and 5. I'll never forgive the jerks who fell for this.

No person with any kind of money will gamble here because the entire HOOD will be there. Also, when the HOOD needs money, they will contnue on across teh bridge and steal from people in Marin. Kind of what they do now except it will be en mass.

Why do we allow casinos? These places just make people poor so then they rely on the government to bail them out. We are destroying this country by being politically correct. I say F the indians. You got enough all ready!

the reality is that what will be built will be a big circus like tent and a parking lot.

There will be no $12m a year, ever.

I picture that the richmond city council is a group of people with no education to mention. Their vote will be bought. Indians aren't stupid.

At the end of the day Richmond and Marin will both spend $20 combined in extra police and lawsuits galore.

THIS IS A BAD IDEA. FEINSTEIN, STOP THE MADNESS! YOU HAVE THE POWER TO STOP THIS!! NOW DO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE!!

Nice spot to be f****** by another colossal development. Isn't there some other way to get jobs to people without gaming? Like solar electric enterprises or some other clean energy production? This is a loser deal. Thank the evil banking industry once again for bringing the fall of the US economy on our heads and necessitating idiot moves like this.

a COLOSSAL development! Why must it be a solar electric enterprise or some other feel good "green" idea? Are these the only profitable or socially concious projects? Maybe we build low income housing! Everyone wins there. Maybe they can use pelts and skins instead of cash, then we can all go down to the kiosk or local trading post and barter!

Ask Rocklin what a loser deal the Thunder Valley Casino is! People flock from the bay area to go gamble, folks like gambling. Heck, even wall street likes gambling. They should all be shot! Gambling does not satisfy our white guilt, it is barbaric and someone could lose money!

Let's just produce a bunch of really really clean energy, but let's just ask everyone to pitch in a few bucks, volunteer some of their time to do it. What if (gulp) the casino actually used some green building principless! Insane. What if it employed some dead weight folks and kicked some revenue in to boot!

I wonder how Golman and Wall street can get their hand on this one...finance the loans? No that seems like it would be helpful to the process. Maybe they will create some product nobody understands, then trick everyone into putting money into it.

Let's hope Lloyd needs some solar panels or a clean renewable green energy source to run his servants quarters!

I want to get in my gas guzzling luxury car, take my easily earned dough and go piss it away at the new casino! God bless america which allows me to do so!

Folks - please consider signing onto http://coalitiontosavepointmolate.org

There is an organized, intelligent group who is working to reveal the true impacts to Richmond and the surrounding area. This project is FAR from approved. There are many more steps.

Thanks for the accurate quote John, you're one of the few reports who's delivered language properly.

Perhaps it can be financed the "old fashioned" way just like Vegas was ... by the Mafia ...(cough)... I mean the Teamsters.

Ooooo ... better yet ... maybe you can start a crunchy, grass-roots effort to fund the project with "micro-loans"! Would that make all you knuckleheads feel better about yourselves???

Don't be so naive.

This is a large union voting block...there in Richmond and East Bay. You are now seeing the effects of ENABLING unionists. They will build this crime magnet...you cannot stop them anymore than you could stop the airline wait lines. They now have reached a critical mass...vote wise. They own us. Obama plainly tipped his hat to this casino union lobby in Nevada....remember when he beat Hillary. Now. we get to have this obvious insult to our sensibilities. But alas, these unions need work. So if it requires you sacrificing your taxes....so be it.........your bridges...so be it......your kinder in a war on lies....so be it. The unions appetite for power in the name of stability is insatiable.
We must get real and face the union monster....DIRECTLY!!!!!

Exactly what products were "everyone" tricked into buying? CDOs? CMOs? CDSs?

Breaking news: "Everyone" didn't buy these products. Stop perpetuatuating this myth.

Now, if you are referring to Neg Am mortgages? 1 year ARMs? 3 yr ARMs? Etc. then you are villifying the wrong people. There are 2 culpable parties: The slimy mortgage brokers who pushed the product and the idiot buyers who allowed themselves to be "sold".

Caveat emptor.

Not sure what contractor was referring to, but it must be wall st. fault! I was referring to the bleeding heart whiners trying to place blame on wall street for being the symbol of capitalism, and crying foul when it went against him.

I think CDO/CDS would be lost on simpleton's like this, and could not see it behind his GREEN GLASSES.

You took a neg am mortgage, and you're too much of a dope to realize it, then take your dopey medicine like a man.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Sagittarius

You're in a sensitive mood today, so you need to choose the company you keep very carefully. Resist the urge to believe only what you want to believe and to disregard the rest, even if something is so obvious that it's staring you in the face. Do not bury your head in the sand or avoid anything unpleasant, because you'll have to face it sooner or later. The more you resist doing this now, the more difficult things may be further down the line.
