Cuellar needs to go; he votes with Pelosi 96% of the time. That isn't Blue Dog or moderate. Vote Underwood.

Am not sure how much Henry 'knows' about the needs of 'hispanic people', but if you check www.Recovery.gov it appears that over 90% of the federal funds in Dist 28 go to the border area almost to the exclusion of his northern county voters.

An old adage in politics is if you can’t run on your accomplishments, attack your opponent. Since Henry Cuellar’s accomplishments the past two years has been support for the economy killing Obama agenda and to be a lap dog for Nancy Pelosi, it is no wonder he has to run a negative campaign. However, negative campaigning, although distasteful, should not include lies. Shame on Henry Cuellar, he has crossed the line.

Cuellar claims that Underwood “is a three-time convict who commits violent crimes.” Let’s examine this deceitful piece of propaganda. Cuellar lists three “crimes” that Underwood supposedly committed 20 to 25 years ago, that’s right, back in the years 1985 to 1990! According to Cuellar, Underwood’s “rap-sheet” includes the following: Failure to Identify to a Park Ranger, Driving with a Suspended License, and Felony Criminal Mischief.

Cuellar begins by intentionally misleading. The first two “crimes” mentioned above are in fact misdemeanors, not felonies. Twenty years ago, Underwood was a waiter at a restaurant on the River Walk. He witnessed a fight at the restaurant and was questioned by a Park Ranger. Underwood had locked his wallet in the restaurant office and could not immediately provide identification. That doesn’t sound like a violent crime to me.

Next, years ago, Underwood was fined $100 for driving with a suspended license. Guilty! This again is not a “violent crime” and it does not disqualify someone from serving in Congress. If it did, there are probably 100 other sitting Congressman who are not fit to serve.

Now for the whopper. Twenty-four years ago, Underwood pled guilty to Felony Criminal Mischief (Destruction of Property) because, while defending his wife and her honor, he truly did damage the vehicle of her assailant. When this case went to court, the judge did not convict Underwood. The judge deferred judgment, essentially throwing the case out of court. Several years later, during divorce proceedings, Underwood was given sole custody of his son. This would not have happened if Underwood was “a three-time convict who commits violent crimes,” as Cuellar claims.

Here is a newsflash to Congressman Cuellar, to be a “convict” one must be convicted of a felony. Bryan Underwood has not been convicted – by any court of law – of a felony. A second newsflash is that most Texans truly believe that a man who defends the honor of his wife is a hero, not a villain.

Shame on you Henry Cuellar. I understand why you can’t run on your achievements, but no one should stoop so low as to lie in a political attack ad.

Cuellar is arrogant and dismissive. We attended his townhalls last year. Claims to be a blue dog but votes right along with Pelosi. We need a change. We need Underwood.

All of you Cuellar supporters, can any of you actually NAME something Cuellar has done for you ??? Cuellar makes "photo-Op" appearances to get his mug in the paper with some cardboard check, but has anyone ever followed through with that to see if that cardboard check ever materializes in the form of REAL money. Do some research, it may actually shock you !! Cuellar is nothing but a "token" Hispanic and a lap-dog to Pelosi. He votes the way he's Told to vote by his puppetmaster, Pelosi. He has no backbone and is Not looking out for we Hispanics. He may be fooling some, but I grew up in a family with a strict work ethic and strong family values and I do not want my young children growing up in a nanny state thinking that they are "owed" a job, a home, healthcare OR a "check" every month for sitting on their butt doing nothing. A vote for Cuellar is a vote for the socialist agenda being crammed down this country's throat. Someone once said in Europe I believe, "Socialism is okay, but the only problem with socialism is that sooner or later, you run out of other peoples money". And you Cuellar supporters, think about that when you, your children, grandchildren etc are being "herded" into inner cities after the government Takes your land from you.
