Totally agree!!!! We have a big park by Westview High School why can't they have it there? Everyone could enjoy themselves instead of being all crowded!

From what I hear, there are plans to move it there. I agree that Saturday night was crowded but I would hate to see the festival move to the edge of town. Isn't part of the reason Martin has the festival to bring people into town? Very few people will be able to walk to the Festival out there and Lindell Street businesses won't have the traffic they do now during the week of the festival. Plus, you will probably have to pay for parking every night, just like for the circus, so the concert won't really be " free" anymore. There are Pros and Cons to everything.

Maybe the festival should get bands that aren't quite as popular so they won't have the crowd problem.(Does my sarcasm come through?)

I wish they would charge for the concerts it would keep lot of the free loaders at home!!I seen some elderly people just leave due to the disrespectful idiots that was there. Also would help moving it to the park stop lot of the boozers from the local clubs staggering around in the way.We dont need the streets full of drunks like we have during the festival.

Agree w/Sarge! Sad the elderly people who came early w/their chairs ended up leaving early because of the rude idiots who came late and stood up front. Seriously?! How many of those kids even knew a Travis Tritt song? Just rude and obnoxious!

They should move it either to park by westview and move the carnival out there where they could set up more rides and make it better too

Did you not understand my comment was being sarcastic? I even labeled it so people would not be confused but apparently you still didn't get it.

However, I heard they did get a deal on Travis Tritt - he was already going to be in the area so they got a discounted price (but don't know how much they did pay). And tonight I saw an ad on TV that he is at the SEMO center.
