"crazy" you will be excommunicated from the church if you keep saying those things! You just got "told" to "remember you are supposed to lift up your church". Apparently you have violated a secret rule and you will now be in trouble. I will say that I am a born again Christian and if I die tonight I know I will go to heaven through the blood of Jesus Christ. What concerns me is that I have seen and heard enough things from this church that I would not recommend anyone going there. There are some crazy beliefs taught and the church allows some untrained and uneducated people to be leaders. I know that God wants everyone to be in church and working for Him but he also wants the leaders to have changed from their wicked ways and set an example for others. I personally know that one of the leaders is still living the life of a lost person even to the extent of committing crimes and the church seems to not care. There is always gossip about churches and problems from within and without but there seems to be too much smoke coming from the community regarding these things for there not to be some fire. It appears to me that the church needs to decide if they want to follow Jesus or simply be another community center to raise money. I don't mean to offend anyone but Christ was firm when he ran the people out of the temple and I think we as Christians need to still be firm. God's house is not a place of recreation or income but a reverent place to worship Him in prayer, song, and sermon.

I used to be a member of this church and it's ok until you start to get to know the leaders and the pastor. These people are very judgmental unfortunately and try to be controlling of other people's lives. And I've always been confused as to why they are in the Baptist Association. They are by no means a Baptist Church. They are very close with the The Ramp in Hamilton, AL and they are Pentecostal. The Ramp speakers come roughly once a year to speak (well mostly play music for hours) at Shepard's Field. I think the church needs to just switch denominations. But the pastor probably won't due to financial backing from the Baptist Association.

I saw a video on facebook where the "ramp" came up and played music for 3 hours. It looked like a rock concert. Nothing that I would want in a church service. I guess I missed that part in the bible???

Local churches do not get funding from the association. The association gets funding from the local churches. It is a bit confusing as to the theological stance of SF. It would be the right thing to bring clarity to the official teachings of the church.

Nathan & Emily left on good terms. As far as I know they felt called to go to Alabam, to a church there. Our youth visited them there and went out into the community to witness with them. They have been back to lead worship with us a couple of times. They are in Chattanooga now with Emily's father's church I do believe. Emily does have a fb page so I would friend her and just ask. But, I do believe what I am saying is true. I was in the room when we were interviewing a young man to take over the youth ministry when they were leaving and Emily and Nathan were a part of interviewing him as well. I'm her friend on fb as well as several others from our church. Actually, I do believe ladies from our church just went to her church for a lady's retreat this past weekend. Unless they canceled. I didn't get to go because I had 3 graduations to go to.
As far as Ben. I could not tell you his reason for leaving because I have not talked to him about it. I have seen him back a few times, so I wouldn't think he left on bad terms either. Again, I would friend him & ask him. He is my friend as well on fb.
Hope this helps. I miss having all of them at our church as well, but God does call people to other places to serve. We hate to loose them and miss them, but would never hold them back from obeying God's will for their lives.:)
Wow..and what position do you hold in the church since you know about and can vouch for every behavior of your preacher and members at all times??

Well I'm gonna sign up, I'm new in town and I think some cult activities could bring me a new zest for life and I could meet some new people in the area. Do you have to shave your head, wear Nike's any of that Jazz ? I mean I'm down with whatever as long as it doesn't involve me and another dude, I don't swing it like that.

Correction, Nathan Emily and family may have left on good turns but heard Ben did not. I heard the brawleys revels and preacher had argument and that's why they left. Over something the revels did or didn't do not sure. They left long time ago.

Ha! No there's no need in shaving your head. The only requirement is to agree with EVERYTHING the pastor says and be sure to praise him and NOT God! I believe that Fady needs to go back to the terroristic country he came from.

I went to The Ramp with my best friend and her family 2 years ago; the speakers constantly said, "We must be doing something right if we are questioned about being a cult!" I also know that a year later my friend was taken out of school to be homeschooled. When asked why she was leaving she replied, "The people in my church believe the longer you're in public school the less you hear about God." I also went with her to a church cookout at another family's home.. We were one of the first to arrive. There was a child around 7 yrs. old happily watching Scooby Doo in the living room. When the preacher and his family arrived they made a big deal about the child watching Scooby Doo, saying things like "You really allow her to watch that unholy show!?" The mother quickly turned off the TV and told her daughter that she was never allowed to watch it again. This confused me. Scooby Doo teaches children that monsters are not real. How is that unholy?

If this church confuses you (and it does sound confusing) then it is not the church for you. Just keep looking and you'll find the one that fits. This one sounds like it has a demigod problem.

I have been going to this church for one year now and I tell you this church is not a cult OF all the churches I have been to in Weakley County this church is blessed to have a spiritual leader as Pastor Fady TO me e is the best pastor in the state of Tennessee
I am proud to say I am a member of this great church were people are being saved and coming to Christ I read I the paper where revivals are in churches all over the area and nothing happens no one is saved or comes to Christ why because the hearts in these churches are col and the Holy Spirit is not welcome that's why so many Baptist churches in this area are dead ad no one comes because hey do not know how to worship just a song or two does not mean worship when will these Baptist churches in this area wake up and let the Holy Spirit in.

My lastest of information that I received was the preacher has told everyone that they needed to home school their children. according to my educational source this is true a lot of the kids that go to that church are being pulled out of public and are being home school at the preacher request.
So the members follow the preacher's requests? I've gone to church all my life and it is God, not a preacher, whose requests you follow. Why would anyone pull their kids out of school at a preacher's request or anything else if God didn't request it of you personally? Sad. I see now why it's called Shepherd's Field church - the "shephard" is making the decisions for his sheep - not God.
