Why do some employers get someone who's willing to work and work hard and then they don't want to pay them? Unfair practice!

They want to work the good workers for all they can, and at the same time save all the money they can. What business does this?

Small town - can't divulge on here but they do exist here. Some employers don't realize when they have a good thing!

You knew what your pay was when hired in. Show up. Out in your time and get paid. Employers have to pay slot more than your wages. They have insurance. Unemployment and all kinda taxes they pay to the State and Fedeal people based on your wages. Just be glad you have a job. Some if us are not that kycky

Do your work, up your pay, no insurance and then tell you they can't afford you. Employers should be glad when they have good workers instead of running them through the mill.

Employees that think they are doing the employer a favor have it all wrong. Granted both should appreciate each other but the employer is the one doing the favor by hiring you. If you were as good as you think you are then the employer would notice ad well

YOU'D think the employer would notice and maybe a decent employer would. And without employees there would be no employers to do an employee a favor. Bad employers use them up and spit them out to get fresh, cheap hires.

A lot of employees are doing the employers a favor by working for them when they are unkind, cheap, yell all the time and try to trip the employee up just so they can yell some more. They don't know an excellent worker when they see one. Don't be fooled by the fake smile on the employers faces. A lot of the time they are just out for how much work they can get out of the employee until they are ready to dump them and see if they can hire somebody cheaper.

In today's economy you should just be thankful you have a job

Obviously you don't have to worry about being a hardworking, unappreciated employee. You must be an employer or don't have to worry about working anyway.

I am an employee, single mom of 4 and do feel unappreciated at times. However I do my job to the best of my ability without thinking anyone owes me anything. I realize that if I quit today then there are ten plus more "good employees" to take my place

I'm not talking just about unappreciated, I'm talking about verbal abuse when you are qualified and do your job to the best of your ability. Not talking about anyone owing me anything - just be a cordial and unrude boss.

Judging by the majority of those in authority i'd say you're right about this being his earth, for now that is.

Check this out about another dictatorial boss that wants to control his employees. I believe he is the owner of the Westgate Resorts in Branson, Missouri.
Don't ever get dooped into one of these schemes. We were given a free gift for staying at one of these places. I will never fall for that again. We were really put under a lot of pressure during the presentation to get into the time share. I'm really glad I didn't let them con me, especially since I believe the jerk David Siegel is the billionaire owner!

Check out the billionaire David Siegel's mansion. It is the largest house in the United States! He is the SOB that told his employees who to vote for!
I guess he thinks he's too good to pay his fair share of taxes like the rest of us do!
The rich did just as well under Clintons taxes as they did under Bush's!
