Ms. Michelle Medling
Greenfield High School

Ms. Michelle is a very supportive teacher. She cares about her students and wants only the best for every single one of them. Ms. Michelle stresses how important getting an education is, but she also wants the school experience for the students to be fun and enjoyable. She is an all-around excellent teacher!

She is the best teacher ever! She teaches you a lot of things and her class is fun, even though she gives you a lot of projects.

She is an okay teacher if you are looking for most unqualified to teach.

Quite frankly, Westview High School's reputation for having caring, dedicated, and qualified teachers has diminished. There are very few teachers that have not sunk into the "bored and lazy" category. There are very few teachers that actually set out to teach students these days. There are very few teachers whose goal is to impact a child's life or help them grow in any way shape or form. It is sad to watch teachers that once cared sink away into the model of lazy,'should retire' teachers.

The teachers that made the most impact to me:

Cheryl Boyte: I have never respected a teacher more than Mrs. Boyte. She carried about what she was teaching, she cared about her students, and she tried everyday to help them grow. Without her, I would have not been half as ready for college as I was.

Stan Vickers: Regardless of his actions or lack of thought, Vickers was one of the most dedicated to his subject teacher that I have ever had the privilege of having. He was the reason I decided to major in History and eventually go into law school.

Neville: She pushed everyone. She pushed me to become the student that I am today, she pushed me to study, to do work, to learn, and to question everything. She really taught me how to be a student, how to succeed in any classroom scenario.

Disappointments:

English teachers (Excluding Stooks, Wilson, and Boyte)

Ladies and gentlemen,

Grow up. Honestly, you are adults. You are teachers. Do not bring yourselves to your students' levels. No one thinks you are funny, no one thinks you are cool. At the end of the day, you are simply weird teachers that want to be cool. You are suppose to be mentors, helpers, guiders, but really you are just bad examples of what not to be: Gossipers, story-tellers, and grown twelve year olds.

Mrs. Neville said at the beginning of her classes, "I don't care how you acted in your previous classes or what your grade was. I care about how you act in this class."

Ladies, take her words. Learn them. Don't judge a book by its cover. Its words will surprise you.

Some students have diagnosed difficulties with learning, but they are still as great as the average students. Listen to them once in a while.

Best guidance counselor ever at martin elementary - Mrs. libby Nunnnelee - was fired after one year because the principal - Mrs. Jackson - didn't like her. Our kids and the teachers all loved her.

school leadership in the Martin schools is a joke! The time has come for good old boys and gals to move aside and let innovative leadership ideas put to work for the best interest of the students.

Teachers, not all, but most, here in Martin really do not care about their students at all. The high school is a joke. They dont really care about kids like when I was growing up. They just hand out detentions left and right and dont try to fix the problem. If your failing they dont try to help you one on one or even ask you what you dont understand. They just give you an F and be on their merry way. It's really frusterating having chidren in this school system. The middle school didnt even get to have field day this year cause the teachers really just didnt want to fool with it. It's like a prison system, In the primary school they cant touch the walls or talk in the bathroom or anything. Also they have to empty the trash and wipe off the lunch tables. Now is that really right??? You be the judge.

I agree that there are problems in the Education system but it is much more than bad teachers. Martin has many great teachers but sadly several bad ones as well. The High school is the most lacking. MMS, the majority of teachers care and do their job really well.
MMS didn't have field day due to student behavior. It is not the teachers fault, most of the teachers are in favor of field day. I encourage you to call Mr Holmes and share your opinion, he needs to hear it.

i wish we could just have a normal school where teacher are there to help their students and not try to just control them. We live on this earth a very short time why do the schools want to make our kids so miseralbe that they hate it. I mean cancelling field day. The kids look forward to that all year. Just cause they were loud in the halls is not fair. Mr. Holmes mad a bad call with that one. kid are just kids. give them a break everyonce in awhile. And high school teachers put forth a little more effort and actually try to care about the children and why they struggle. You are not college teachers. High schoolers still need guidance. Kids in a hppy environment will want to go to school and will enjoy learning.
