Pastor fatally shot by police in drug sting

A north Georgia pastor was shot to death by police when he struck an officer with his car after he was seen in a vehicle with a drug suspect, authorities told CNN.

The cops thought their lifes were in danger, same line every time in a deadly fire incident. this is a guarantee to get them off for bad police work. Of course it doesnt mention they came at him like a bunch of rabid dogs.

There are some best practices that these officers probably could have employed. It is hard to get past the fact that even bystanders stated they identified themselves. The pastor then decided to drive in a manner that struck one officer and almost another.

Umm the video shows him turning the car away from the officers as he went forward.

Here is a best practice for you: don't put yourself behind a car that is backing up. Especially don't do it just to get an excuse to fir your gun and soothe that itchy trigger finger.

The video I saw looked like thugs to me, wearing a necklace with something hanging on it is another example of thugs. You must be a cop trying to cover up the truth.

Could you point out anything my statement covers up? So people with necklaces that have things hanging from them are thugs? Somebody call the pope tell him to drop the thug look.
The video is of such poor quality the guys in it could have been wearing white uniform shirts (and yes some departments still wear white). The only thing the video shows is a small part of what happened that day and drawing any responsible conclusion from it and not having a lot of other facts is irresponsible. But your not going to let the truth get in the way of slinging false accusations toward the police.

Interesting a friend was driving through Georgia yesterday, a career military man, and family man a Christian on his way to see his mom and was stopped by three cops on a bridge at gun point, later they said sorry they thought he was running drugs....whatever happen to having cause??? a little out of hand don't ya think? someone should be really looking into this, I come from a law enforcement back ground and something stinks here...

But wait, you said you really can't know someone. You said that family members are the last to admit what their loved ones have done. SO how do you know that these involved people are telling you the truth? Using your premise, your years of knowing them should mean nothing in your determining whether they are truthful or not. You cannot base anything on what the involved officers say even if you have known them all of your life......I am using you logic not mine.
