The Cheers and Jeeers commentary is way off. I emphasized a father's responsibility to advocate for his daughter who is qualified for the position with eight years of courtroom experience. I also want to mention that probably one out of five Clerk Magistrates and Assistant Clerk Magistrates in Massachusetts do not have law degrees. A law degree is not a requirement for the position of Clerk-Magistraate or Assistant Clerk-Magistrate in Massachusetts.
