Those huge buzzards are back close the Autumn Care. Crappy looking creatures. I worry about my little dog being carried off if left in the yard alone. I wish they would find another home.

They roost in several trees behind the houses on West Phifer Street. If you stand in the front parking lot on the nursing home in the evening when they come in to roost you will get a show. The come in like planes landing on an aircraft carrier. They have stripped those trees down to just wood. All the bark and the green is gone from those trees. I think we counted about 40 in 5 trees. When you think about it they get plenty to eat around here so thats why they are here. My wife and I were driving toward Piney Gove church one day and saw about 10 or 12 eating on a deer that had been hit. A dog was eating on it too. He would run the buzzards off and drag the carcus several feet but they would dive and make him drop it and when he would chase and snap at one or two the others would get in on the feast.

Doggy lover: You don't have to worry about your little dog. Buzzards are scavenger birds and only eat dead things.

That's right. Everybody knows buzzards just fly around living things to vomit on them. If you simply look up you, will see I'm telling the truth.

My daddy liked to use buzzards for target practice when I was a boy. Buzzards were the only thing daddy shot that didn't end up on our table. He generally followed the rule that you only killed that which you ate. He just hated Buzzards. I don't know if you could get by with that now. Certainly not in town anyway. Daddy liked to shoot them with a #3 duck load and modified choke and he could knock them out of the sky. When I was 12 years old I got a 410 for my birthday and he taught me how to hunt. The first kill I had was a low flying Buzzard.

Better watch saying that. Lib Activist Police troll everywhere looking to enforce their environmental laws. You're not supposed to shoot a miserable disgusting buzzard, even if he barfs on you. You might have some G-man knocking on your door. They'll put you in jail for 200 years as an eco-terrorist.

The Buzzards tried to relocate a few years back when the old tree that they used as a "roost" fell... they have finally relocated back near Autumn Care...

Well be glad it's only buzzards. How would you like Nasty Pelosi's Barbara the Boxer's, and Billery Clinton's circling on brooms overhead? They're already circling your wallet.

Peachland has a big swarm of buzzards these days too.
Several hundred probably this weekend past. Don't know what their attraction is there.

The entire US is dying, and the places that have had dim-0s in charge forever, like Peachland and Marshville, and in their last throes.

This is to Betty with no last name and StaceyE Lemmon. I have known Don Hall for a long time, and he does not get special favors for anything. He is a business man who minds his business helps many people in the community and his church. His family is very nice people. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. And to call him a buzzard or the biggest buzzard hangs out there, get real. I feel sorry for people like you. You have no idea what a nice family you are talking crap about. Betty you are nothing but a toxic waste of space.

Someone else called Him a "Buzzard"... I simply fact .... When the Town told me that they could not pick up my few limbs ...for it was a city only service... when I mentioned the fact that they had been doing so for Mr. Hall ( who lives even further out)... the agreed to pick up my limbs as well ...
As i said ...I do Not know Mr. Hall ... but I do know that this man has brought business to this town and the people should be thankful for that ... I did not mean to "offend" you... Stacey

Not yet. But I'll hug him as soon as he gets back from golfing.
