Of all the celebrity deaths we hear about, I see one that I was particularly dreading finally happened. Rest in Peace Neil Armstrong. I remember as clear as yesterday the day you stepped off the ladder of the LEM with your Hasselblad in your hand. This 12 year old boy was glued to the TV set so tightly, no crowbar could have separated me from it. And I'm still amazed at that feat he and Buzz had done, with Michael Collins circling above. One slip-up anywhere in the mission meant all 3 would be lost. But there were no slip-ups. And because of these 3 men, we repeated the feat to perfection 5 additional times. May God's heaven be Tranquility Base for Neil, and the Eagle has landed.

Message from the family of Neil Armstrong:
"For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."

I have always considered myself fortunate. In all of history, there is a very small percentage of people with the stroke of luck or providence that I got to be alive during the Gemini and Apollo programs. The following link is exactly as I remember it. And I am still in awe.
