I already have all I will ever need and it wasn't because I'm a trust fund baby. I made it myself. My first job was working in a service station from 7 am to 7 pm for $7 per day. I paid my own way through college by running spinners in a cotton mill on the 2nd shift. There was no air conditioning, dust or noise standards and often I had little or no money left, even for food.. My finances slowly improved after my graduation.
I didn't get no bid government contracts from republicans, didn't make it from republican insider trading info, didn't sell toxic loans to trust funds to destroy them. I have been proud of making enough money to pay my fair share of taxes for the privilege of living in this great country. I have never whined , cried, bitched, pissed an moaned like a republican about having to pay taxes because I understand that my country cannot maintain a standing army to protect me, have law enforcement, public education, highways, airports, etc without money. I did get part of my taxes back ONE time back in the 70s when I drew an unemployment compensation check for $52. Over the years,I paid out the yen yang for FICA, workers comp, matching SS contributions, state and federal tax, but because of my blessings, I do not resent one penny of that. And I will never understand why dirt poor working people want tax breaks for the rich. So thats your definition of socialism? Cry me a river about paying taxes, republican.

Typical brain dead Socialist anit-American rant. People have no right to what they work for. It all belongs to TSF. TSF deserves it. Why should people that worked for what they earn be a loud to keep it.

You must show evidence to this. I think we have representation with our taxation. You personally may not get all you wish, but that was never the argument. The argument was that the states got no representation for the taxation. We get to vote. Yes, many if not most vote in ignorance. But this only means ignorance gets represented.

And what does the battle Lexington have to do with anything?
What the states fought for was not to just win a battle, but be free of the oppression that occurred before it.

Mike, these days you never know. There was no doubt in my mind that Casey Anthony's goose was cooked, but according to the jury, the prosecution didn't prove their case. In Sandusky's case I wondered if there would be one or two jurors that were died in the wool Penn State fans and that would influence their verdict. Good to see this jury did a good job putting another child molester behind bars. Better late than never.

I am sure the Prosections questions to jurors were how much Penn State football would play a role in their decision. Almost a religion in Pennsylvania. Also glad to see the conviction. Those poor boys will never live a normal life becuse of Sandusky.

Totally agree, especially about football almost being a religion in Pennsylvania. You know Arnold, some of those guys molested have some age on them now, but there's some things people never get over.

What can be done to end the slavery of government? I rather doubt that education of the slave holders (i.e., top politicians) will be able to show them much advantage-for they are in "business" to enjoy the perverted thrill of power, not to make money by growing crops. To reduce that slavery would cut that enjoyment, not raise it. However, educating everyone else will have the desired effect. "Everyone else" has two components: the slaves (us) and the overseers and drivers (drivers were themselves slaves, trusted to help the overseer--a bit like the Judenrat, in the ghettos.)Mikey,TSF

TSF, this post is typical of someone ignorant. Victims and predators involved in child molestation come from all socio-eonomic, race, and gender backgrounds. In your warped mind, how did manage to use the molestation of children by a sick, perverted person to make a political point? In documented cases of child molestation, there's plenty of blame to lay at the feet of every political party, religion, business organizations, sports programs, etc.

The USA government passed the Patriot Act and how it is being Interpreted Would Stun You. This shows that government is continuing its long tradition of lying about how it will use these powers. A host of other laws that specifically (and illegally) strip constitutional rights from American citizens. These laws allowing for secret arrest (including by the military), indefinite detention, torture, and murder of any person, citizen or otherwise, without habeas corpus, without a warrant, and without due process of any kind. And congressional action is not necessary to initiate such horrors. Americans can also be stripped of their rights and terrorized by one man signing an executive order. What more prof is needed?

Especially after I have railed against stereotyping. Its anger issues causing momentary retrogressive behavior, I suppose. I 'm OK now. Thanks for putting me back on track.

Agreed. Dishonesty and perversion are not entirely the domain of republicans. It was an unfair association.

For you dems out there, what do you think about the dems in W. VA not attending the DNC in Charlotte, N.C.? I read where some from Georgia are going to do the same.

Senator Joe Manchin is obviously making a political move to save his own skin. Or maybe his mule is sick and he can't make the journey. It really does not bother me as to which one. I think we can carry on without him.

Ok Arnold, I held my fingers from making a West Virginia joke thinking people would think it's because I'm a Republican. Since you're a Dem, you can get by with it. I just wanted the first shot. I thought maybe some of them were worried the guy with the mullet and criminal record that received 40% of the votes against Obama could pick them off if he set his mind to it. You know a man with a mullet in W. VA would be difficult to defeat!!!
