Pulled in today to watch hockey game boy it was good. Back out to sea tomorrow. I heard the 1st pick turned the job down seems DW & MB made him nervous about their views of a certain department head. Maybe this mess will be over March or April 17th.(: See ya later!

Rumors are there may be ALOT of employees who give out confidential information looking for a job when the new Administrator gets here... He DOES KNOW what is going on (DONE HIS RESEARCH ON ALL THE EMPLOYEES, I BET)and he knows who has been naughty and who has been nice, and it ain't goin' look to good. May be time for a complete overhaul of some Marshville employees, who knows!!!!!!! After all, he will have the POWER!!!!!

I don't think so, Concerned Citizen. Isn't all the POWER in the hands of the council according to the Town Charter????? Just asking. I don't work for the town so I am not up for grabs!

And who says it is a "he"??? Were there not any "she" applicants?

Also at the rate they are quitting, there may not be too many left to fire. Two key positions open right now. Important positions. We need an administrator and a clerk.

Norma, since you "Think" (which is the opertative word!!) You should stop writing on this web site and get off your butt and read the charter. As a concerned citzen, I have, and obviously, by your ignorant remarks, have not. As far as people quiting, you people who "Know it all" should take time and call those who have left, I did. The clerk, Shelly, said she had nothing against the council or the town, too much paper work, minutes, etc. She prefers finance only, crunching numbers is more her thing, and the county can pay alot more, they should be able to, look at the taxes we have to pay to them! Carl has always and will always be a law enforcement person. It is his passion, ask him. But, of couse, not of you have, you just come on here and make your smart remarks. Some of you act like Marshville is the only town with employee turnover. My God, pull up some of the other towns, read the papers, make some calls. Marshville is not unique in this respect. It's just a "few" like to make Marshville seem like a bad place with bad people, it's not. There are towns, some in Union County, with problems worse than ours. Sometimes, change in employees is a GOOD THING, so the town can move forward. As as far as you not politicking, I'm laughing so hard, but never fear, Mayor Deese has his person picked out for Mayor and council and I can assure you, it's not any of you wanna be's!!!

Mr. CC with all your talk of God, Im surprised by your negative remarks. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Didn't the citizens speak in November as too WHO would represent Marshville????? Sir your opinion isn't as important as you would like to think. Norma's a Marshville Citizen through and through, she's been here most of her life, ignorant isn't a word I would use to describe her. Ignorant is a word that wouldd be attributed to you, CC. This town doesn't need or want you CC, must be a hard pill for you to swallow, seeing as how your opinion of yourself is so high.

Sweet Daddy we may not always agree, but on this issue we do! CC; Marshville didnt vote you into office for a reason. Your type isnt good for Marshville. Perhaps Weddington or anywhere on that end of the county would suit you better, your "friends" seem to be fairing better on that end than they are here. We want a local, not someone who just moved here with ridiculous Yankee ideas. My vote went to Larry Smith & Matthew Jefferson. I can assure you Norma would get my vote before you do. I would rather not vote at all than vote for you. Lucky for you, your position on the planning board isnt a citizen vote, or you wouldn't be on that either. We may talk slow, but we know what we DON'T want! Its YOU! Norma, you go ahead and run, seems he needs another reminder that He Lost!

I don't believe Concerned Citizen and Christian Conservative are the same person.

Concerned Citizen sounds more like DW, MB or GK, except the - between every few words is missing, so it is probably not GK who is shopping for property at the beach. Also Mr. Deese does not cotton to DW too much. A mystery, my my.

It is interesting to think the Mr. Deese has the power to pick out the next mayor and council. I understood that power was in the hands of the voters?

We do hold that power. And whether or not the CC's are the same person or not, Marshville doesn't want them. The VOTES speak for themselves!

We all know you tried your best, Gail Kika, and failed. Now you want to come here and start more rumors. Please sell your houses and move away. If anyone is giving out "confidential" information it must be your two best friends telling all to you. And the Lord knows your mouth runs rampart all over town. If it is true that the first choice turned down the job, which is not public information, then only the council knows it, and of course since you play with a couple of them I would guess it is pillow talk between you and them. You will never have the respect of the people of Marshville, never. Please do not drag Matthew and his good name down to your level. He can make a difference in Marshville, and we all hope he can stay away from you. You are a virus.....

Cheers to you "Voter", tell it like it is. We know that "CC" is either KIKA or DW, or a little of both. Soon both will be gone. Two less buzzards in town....

HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE 3 BUZZARDS. You are so correct. Go back and read their nonsense, it is all pro GK, MB, and DW.

Agree totally. The leaking of confidential information is just so unprofessional. But hey! What do you expect from this group?

Common sense, which is a trait most people really do have, would tell one that the leaks must be coming from Kika, DW, and MB. When people gather and drink together, they usually run the mouths. If you ever see them somewhere just sit within earshot, you will hear it from the buzzards mouths yourself. I hope Matthew gets away from Kikas clutches before she sets the venom of DW into his bloodstream.
