I was a volunteer at the chamber of commerce when our longest lasting chamber secretary was rudely let go because she was sick.
I and several other vlunteers there at that time were very unhappy about Lois being hired at that time and we left our positions. I had been present everal times when Lois and another person had come into the office and yelled and cursed at Pam, she was our secretary at that time. Pam was well known and liked by most people. She could also her work done on time. She was accused of keeping a messy office, but you can't keep a neat office if you have no room to put anything.

Lois has been reported as having said that she didn't know how Pam got every thing done that she got done. Pam also dressed corectly
for her job too.

I am not afraid to put my name on this as Lois doesn' like me any way. I am an upstanding community member and Christian.

Thank you for the opportunity to have my say.

Excuse me for the typos in my above letter. I was in such a hurry that I forgot to use spell check, but I do know how to do so.

Maybe now the board can take off their blinders (although they knew the triuth and didnn 't bother to do anything), and find someone who will represent us in a dignified and professional manner.

Will be interesting to see if the local paper covers this from the arrest angle. They crucified a music teacher who didn't harm anyone; Chamber Director position IS a leadership position.

Oh the paper covered it - BURIED ON PAGE 5! I guess the "leader" for our businesses in this recession being arrested for DWI and charged with a felony for vehicular assault isn't very newsworthy. No wonder why our community struggles to get people to shop local.

I applaud you for leaving the chamber as a volunteer when you did. You made a stand and stood by your convictions. I wish the same could be said for the volunteers that stayed. Those who stayed are Bill and Jo Walker, Mike Ahrens, Becky Ramsey, and others I can't remember. And, of course, don't forget Nick Inman who supported Lois through all of her destruction! I wish these people had displayed the same values you did. The Chamber receives public money and should be cleaned out and totally re-staffed from employees, to volunteers to board members. I believe personally that a state audit is in order but just do not have the energy to start a petition.

It will be interesting to see the winners that were chosen by the "nominations" received that will be revealed at the annual chamber meeting on Jan 5.

Seems to be the norm for around here. Between the city, county, Webster Electric and the chamber it seems a group of people feel like they're entitled to these positions. Hopefully people will wake up and try to break the cycle.

The volunteers you mentioned are top notch. They stayed, I'm sure, to make the community better despite what was happening. The rest of what you said I agree with, but leave the volunteers out of it. The Walkers and Ahrens are the best people in this town.

Amen! Wake up and quit playing favorites , Marshfield Mail. DAVE BERRY - ARE YOU LISTENING AND MONITORING THIS?!?! Look back a few years ago and see how you covered a teacher who did not injure anyone and did not end up in jail later charged with a felony.. And different treatment for the "head" of the business community? Shame on you, Marshfield Mail. And here I thought you were actually starting to be fair and unbiased.

The editor and Farnsworth are good friends! Dave Barry should be made aware. The friendship is how the editor got on the chamber board. Another fail for the so-called Marshfield Mail.

Heard that Farnsworth actually showed up at the COC meeting last night! What a piece of trash! No one wants her around but her few select group of low life friends! She makes the whole thing look like a joke and the awards mean nothing.

Really? We as a business community are just going to let this go and not say any more about it? If that's the case, we deserve what we get. Pitiful. And shame on the newspaper.

Word on street in Seymour is that Farnsworth will be back on the job on Feb 1. Really, Marshfield!? You need to take a few lessons from us in Seymour! And you think we are red-necks! We, as a town, would never let someone like her represent us! Could be a reason that Marshfield can't attract businesses that employ your citizens! I'm enjoying this. Can't wait to see how this is handled. What a board? Must all be buddies with her! Lol

The Mail is about as likely to adequately cover this story as it would one about Webster Electric. Tom Houston, the perverted porn watcher, still is the main man at Webster. The Mail never reports that legal case. Why would they make a splash about one of Houston's party buddies, Lois.

Lois Farnsworth, again. Let's see, she stopped at Northview to use the restroom. Last time I was through Northview there were no restroom to be seen. Wonder where she was going to use it? Classy.

Looks like the Springfield News Leader was good enough to mention it. Now is anyone really surprised how this was handled? The Marshfield Mail isn't worth stealing let alone buying.
