Hello fellow Marshfield citizens. I am and have been a Marshfield citizen all my life and was wanting to open a business here in town. I could go elsewhere and do something but would love to contribute to the community here. So here is the big question .......what do the Marshfield citizens want to see, shop at, look for? Service or retail

A skatepark for the kids. It would be so simple to take a field and make a concrete park or take the old factory behind price cutter and build a park. Make them wear helmets for insurance purposes and charge them for concessions. I myself have experience building skateparks and would love to be apart of the project if it ever was possible.

I would love to see more entertainment for all the kids. The kids around here get bored all the time with nothing to do. Somewhere where they can go and eat and play games and meet other kids.

I would love to see a new smoke shop in Marshfield. I'm sure I'm not the only one tired of driving to Springfield to go to Cosmic Fish or Keleidescope to get stuff.

A prosecutor who would look at the evidence and a
sherrif who would actually make his deputies do an investigation. This would mean there would be at least one young man, a fireman, who would not have commited suicide, and another entire family distroyed, and yet others affraid to even look at other people for fear of judgement by prosecutor or lawyers who work with the prosecutor to keep job security off tax payers dollars. Little house of lies is what this place is, so like I tell my friends----stay away you will come innocent have charges made up on you and leave with a record even when you have done nothing in your life.
This place is evil. We thought this was a place of
God with 70 some odd churches here but it is exactly the opposite of what the fake welcomes lead you to believe

I think a starbuck would do great! I know a lot of my friends leave home early to go by one before work in the morning.

I'd love to see something built in Marshfield that would attract visitors and eventually more people and businesses. For instance, in Arizona a small, lone town built the world's largest fountain (at that time, anyway), surrounded by a small but charming park. The town became known as Fountain Hills and today is a thriving, prosperous community. This is what I'd like to see for Marshfield.

I don't know what your capital situation is, but purchasing a sizeable piece of acreage and erecting the biggest something might just get the ball rolling here. Just my two cents.

This town only focuses on how many trees they can plant and keeping the town small. This is not a place to raise your kids--this town does not focus on kid friendly activities. And the "auditorium" at the high school is ran by a Nazi. The city government is corrupt as well and why is there not a paid fire department? They run it like a full time one or at least expect their volunteers to to make it a full time committment after working a full time job...or so that is what I hear.

A whole new group at city hall. People really need to vote and get this same group broke up at city hall . The people of Marshfiled need to take their town back! This town would be a much better town and the place I remember growing up as a child .If this town was a 4th class town we could have more. But that would mean I think 2 more aldermen which could tear their little system apart. They don't want this town to grow.I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW CORRUPT THIS TOWN IS ANYMORE. YOU HAVE TO GET OUT AND VOTE .If all of you want change then your going to have to do your part to get it changed . PLEASE don't just talk about it . MAKE IT HAPPEN. VOTE and then give those new people a chance to change things because it won't happen in a year. This town is a mess and they will have their hands full just cleaning up the messess that have been going on for years.

I personally would like to see something of entertainment value and not just something for the kids. Some place the whole family can have fun doing. I know we've had a couple places try. Once we had a miniture golf place off Hwy A and there was an indoor batting cage installed over by Shook Elementary but each of these where in bad locations with not a whole lot of advertisement. If you're wanting something successful, start with a good location then transform it as needed. I've always wanted to see something similar to a Movie Theater, Recreation Center, etc. I wish you good luck in your endeavor!!

I have grown up in a small town as a kid and they had a roller skating rink that came in durning the summer and took it down in the winter (tent)
It is to late for me (age) to skate, but that big tent was something that kids and adults could use, and look forward to useing. Good clean fun and kids could learn to be around other kids.
They had skates to rent for the session;
That town was Walkerton, Ind.
The owners did not put up with fighting, smoking or in general causeing problems.
If you caused a problem -out you went and before long the kids figured out his\her friends were skating and they were not- so they learned to
get along with others.
kids need something to do- bowling and etc helps.

A quality bar. People are sick of having to go to Springfield, Lebanon, etc to go out at night for a good time. It would help this town a lot, and would also control the drunk driving problem and give the town the tax dollars that it says it so badly needs, but with out government, it will never happen.

I would love to see a bar, but I don't think this towns butthole could pucker any tighter so I doubt it will ever happen. The sphincter muscle of this town looks like Hulk Hogan's biceps circa 1984!

How about a GOOD eating establishment. There is NOTHING really good in this town to eat. I had high hopes for the Cross Eyed Cricket but the few times I ate there it SUCKED and was over priced. I drive to Springfield several times a week to eat good food. Yes it may cost more in fuel but I do not care to pay as long as the quality and quantity are good.

I think if we had a GOOD restaurant that severed alcohol with a good cozy atmosphere and actual GOOD food with good size servings at a reasonable price you would find that more people would stay in town to eat. And you would find a lot of people that eat at all the other establishments would change real quick.

This town NEEDS A GOOD RESTAURANT..........

A good, and cheap movie theater. Obviously, not a whole lot of movies would be shown but maybe 2 or 3 movies a time. But people wouldn't have to spend the gas to drive to Springfield and it would bring in local tax revenue. I, for one, would definitely go. I miss going to the movies and can't afford the gas to drive to and from Springfield.

Movie theater would be fantastikk. And it doesn't have to be open every night like maybe just Thursday thru Sunday... And yea only show like 3 movies a children's movie and one for the family and then one for like older kids younger adults like maybe a scary movie or one with adult humor Idk just a thought
