He has to go! And he can take his puppet principals with him. They spend money on what they think is important like i pads, lit coaches, fancy soap dispensers, football field improvements, automatic faucets, ENORMOUS legal fees, while class sizes increase and teachers salaries are frozen and yearly budgets are decreased. District is going down hill fast.

I am not a teacher or employee of the schools. The only connection I have to the schools is through kids. Dr. Mayo and his administrators -as well as our teachers and support staff - are top notch in my book.

Keep up the good work, Marshfield R-I.

And THANK YOU...for your hard work, your dedication, and your caring ways. You make me proud to live in Marshfield.

And thank you, Dr. Mayo, for doing the right thing despite the critics. You're a good man and a fine educator, and Marshfield is lucky to have you leading us in this journey towards the future.

It is nice to see a positive comment on this forum. The uninformed opinions boldly stated about Dr. Mayo and the school system as though they are fact really makes my blood boil. Instead of getting on here and running your mouth, volunteer in the schools, join PTSG, or run for the school board. From some of the comments written, it sounds like all these genius' could bring utopia to Marshfield, MO.

As far as the geniuses you referred to, "ain't no way " they could bring utopia to the school system? I have a feeling they are the ones gripe and complain that it's the teacher's and/or administrator's fault when their children are being brats. And volunteer? Not a chance! I guarantee you that there will be many who respond on here stating something like, "I volunteer all the time, blah, blah, blah..." and don't even attend patent-teacher conferences! If they actually volunteered, they would see the skill and talent that teachers put in to collect a salary well below what they deserve! There are Many dedicated, good parents out there with students in our school system , and I guarantee you they aren't the ones on here griping - they don't have time because they are too busy parenting!

My dog really isn't in this fight, as I haven't had a child of school age for two decades. I do know that back then there were many problems stemming from parents who thought they had perfect children regardless of what the teachers or administration reported and/or lacked patenting skills...20+ years later, I'm sure the problem with patents and their "perfect" children has increased at a larger rate than the national deficit.

Again, I thank the teachers and administrators for making Marshfield a better place to live! Now let the griping parents with the "perfect" children that "volunteer all the time" respond. I'm retired - and not from education - I have the time to write a post. Don't you think your spare time would be better spent parenting and helping your child 's teachers than posting on here?
Thank You

Conway MO boy assaulted

This guy is a saint compared to neighboring school- Conway, MO Superintendent, Dr.Chris Berger. This school recently was on KY3 newd for Dr. Berger covering up crimes of students that belong tohis good friends. They were doing sex acts on the back of the bus while palying truth or dare on the all boy bus, genitals were exposed and bodily fluid rubbed in a kids face. He told his parents who reported it to Dr. Berger and he told them since it was last day of school May 2012 that punishment would be given in Aug when school started. Nothing was done, parents never nitified and DFS or law never called. This went to the board and board members all hanf out at Supts house and are his buddies so they believe his lies and cover up. The victim has been put through extreme bullying by these boys for telling and they have recruited others to threaten his life, stab him with pencil, hide his bball shoes and jersey, call him names and more- while the bullies have gotten no punishment. Heard Dr. Berger came from Dora and they had to make him leave ...wonder why.Com munity memers have other documents proving he has lied about school funds, used money for ipads for student to buy a sign & more lies. Marshfield your Supt is a saint compared to Conway's Dr. Berger.

Let me be clear. I believe we have many good teachers and administrators at Marshfield. We have a lot of great kids. But do not tell me we have a "fine educator" and "good man" for superintendent.

Chris Berger is leaving Conway, Mo school district after hurting so many kids there and their families he has done this at Dora, Mo and Conway, Mo and other schools. He plays favortism and only protects the ones close to his own family. Now he goes on to Waynesville, Mo school and it wil only be a matter of time before he is caught in the lies and cover up there. Not a truthful, honest man at all. KY3 news and Lebanon newspaper has reported on the way he did not report crime against 6th grader because the kids that did sexual crime and assualt were close to his family. He never even told the bullies parents or reported this to law. He lied. I feel for kids at Waynesville.

I think the Marshfield School system needs a whole new make-over! Out with the old, in with the new! Especially Hubble and the High School. Think of kids first, their education, making that top priority! I've been told the teachers runs the schools, the administration is lacking! Is this true?
