Seems the Woman's Christian Temperance Union has finally lost its grip on power. Took long enough.

Great, my gramma lived there and I would never visit her because of this. She just checked out and I was going to visit her to try and get in her good graces to be added to her will. Always a day late and a dollar short. Well gramma, fcuk you!!

Good for M'ville. I meant that I want the Frontier, Corner, VFW, etc to be open and doing business and for Moes and the Corner to be able to do business on Sundays. The State government and the local Churches have too much of a power grip.

What, it's too much for you to go one day a week without drinking in a public place?

Do you mean Sunday sales of cars?

That ban has always ticked me off to. Saturday and Sunday are the only two days most people have to go car shopping.

I don't imbibe much at all but I, too, resent the government telling legitimate businesses when and how they may conduct business. Of course, this position can be applied to government regulations telling landowners what they cannot do or build on their own ground.

I haven't been inside the local bars more than a couple of times in the last year nor do we drink much at home- cook with booze mostly. It's amazing at the "I'm better than you because I don't drink" attitude that pervades the local Churches. We've been told by individuals at our Church that we aren't welcome at their home just because we have alcohol in our home. Nice people, huh?

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Libra

If you live with other people you have to resign yourself to the fact that you all want to do different things today. The more you urge togetherness, the more everyone will be determined under tonight's Full Moon to do their own thing even if it creates problems. Try to play this down as much as possible because it's also a lunar eclipse and getting angry won't solve anything; it may even make the situation worse. Maybe this is a chance for you to do what you want for a change, too? Anyway, enjoy yourself tonight, Libra because you deserve it!
