According to story:
"The "Sacramento Bee" reports the American Civil Liberties Union and the California Public Defenders Association oppose the measure saying it would elevate penalties for dog fighting to a level not accorded crimes against humans, including murder." Elevates penalties for dog fighting over penalties for murder? Ya right. Uh, last time I checked, ACLU, you can't get the death penalty for killing a dog. |

Just ask a shrink if someone who abuses and or kills an animal would be capable of doing that to a human being. The answer would be yes. These people are sick and should be locked up, until we get brave enough politicos who will have long range vision and implement a program of rehabilitation.
