I appreciate the sacrifice her son made in protecting me ,so I can enjoy all my freedom. I think she is capitalizing on her son, so she gets all this publicity.

Just another inadequate parent who raised an immoral killer to murder innocents for their oil.
She should be down on her knees begging God's forgiveness.
If Iraq had ever posed the US the slightest threat, things might be seen differently. He son was not serving the US or protecting anyone. He was a worthless piece of filth, along with his good buddy illegal occupiers, who had it coming.

Big John Wayne-----You are an idiot, her son deserves medals and praise and I am grateful. My point is -it should be more about him and not her.

Yeah, but what is the point of this thread? Just to criticize a grieving mother?

What did the soldier do that was so special that he deserves medals. Did he kill more children than the other killers in his gang? Did he rape more women? Did he displace more innocents?

No soldier in Iraq deserves praise or medals because it is an unjust war opposed by the UN and vast majority of the global community.

I am just saying that she is making all the publicity about her and not about her son. I say he left his home and put himself in harm's way. He didn't have to do this, but thank God he did. This is one reason he deserves a medal.I'm sure he has done other brave things to deserve medals.

Brainwashed patriot nationalist garbage!

He put himself in harms way for injustice!

Why thank god for going to Iraq. A country we provided arms to, a country where the USA installed a dictator, a country with OIL!

Wars are profitable and you with to attack a woman who wishes to get just a like piece of this enormous pie. She no different than anyone else.

I say let her be.....she is a mother. I know we are in a WAR with a country that has oil, blah, blah, blah.
But she is a mother, which is the best thing in the world. I dont know much about the story, but she has to wake up everyday with the pain and suffering ....there will be no more birthdays, holidays, graduation, grandchildren, nothing. She gets to look at a tombsone.
These young men are pump with misinformation, they believe that they are over there fighting for our freedom, and that what they want to do.
As far as attacking a mother crying at her sons tombstone....UNREAL,,,,,,I guess the person who started this thread is not a parent.
Its no about the war its about the love a mother has for her son.....
let her be!! PLEASE.......
P.S. The weekend I moved here was his funeral, the outpour in the community was great, they all came together for one thing.
I personally think we should withdrawl from the war......

Why wasn't there a picture of the son instead of the story being about her.

True. I just remember moving to Anna the same week he passed away and was brought home. There was a group that was protesting the funeral. It was crazy. Very sad situation.. He fought for what he thought was right. I have seen the mother out and about and it saddens me that she lost her only son.

For those who like to bash this grieving mother & the loss of am American solider I have a couple of questions. What good have you done in your life? How have you helped humanity or your community? What have you done that was selfless? You sure do use your right to say & think anything you please, and the reason you can do that is because of am AMERICAN SOLIDER! What would you do if that was one day taken away from you?
My thoughts & prayers go out to this family & I wish them the best with their loss. Thank you for raising such a selfless person who fought for what he felt was right.

Why not make a small effort to accept the truth. The murdering piece of fecal filth she raised may have believed what he was doing was right but this only proves his imbecility.
It also establishes his mother's failure as a parent to teach him right from wrong.
Being honest is not so difficult once you get used to it.

Blame the idiotic politicians and generals that ordered this war but do not blame the men and women who are just doing what is ordered.

It seems Big John and I know a bit more abut America's military affairs than most who claim to be informed.

Nobody wants to hear it. America hasn't fought a just war since 1945. Our campaign of honor ended right as the second nuclear bomb fell. Since then our military efforts have been strictly for profits.

We've been at war for the past 60 years non-stop and for what?

it wasnt a just war in 1945 it was a war of jewish revenge brought to you by the jews behind roosevelt like bernard baruch, sam rosenman, sidney hilman ect. today its brought to you by the AIPAC jews and many other "jewish" advisors hiding behind the scenes this woman son died for israel's living space and no other reason these vermin should be shot on sight and every politician hung with piano wire

Note I signed my name not like Krinkle and Big Jofn. God bless that womand and her child and all of the other parents of kids who volunterred to serve their country. To all of you gutless peolpe who hide behind screen names. I only wish that I had it within my power to place people like you and those that would protest at funerals, in a country that does not allow its citizens the freedoms you two so readilly enjoy, and take advantage of.. And once their be immediately shot or imprisonned. If you know our country so well and its ploicies stand up and quit hiding behind screen names and criticizing other peoples actions or inactions and put your real names.
You think you make a difference by hiding and making snide comments. Stand up and and give your name like this prior service Marine did.
If not continue to hide in your house with your misserable lifes and enjoy the liberties someone else sacrifices for. Wait that might be the defintion of a yelloow gutless coward. Give your name or stay out of places like this
