He told me I or anybody can look at the votes to see that the election was not rigged. I decided just to take his word for it, and chock it up to the fact that we have lots of idiot voters. There.

JSM, I can't fully agree with you on this one. People vote for who they think is going to protect their personal interests.

Its the candidates job to connect with their constituency and reach enough people from different age groups .

Mosloff locked up the senior vote and Ernie simply didn't lock up any voting group and especially not the seniors.

I strongly believe that Ernie could have garnered the senior vote if he let them know they have been misled. But the problem is that I don't think he feels they have been misled.

So Ernie can be the best listener and best candidate and best all around guy but he never created a true cause that unified people of all ages. And thats why he failed.

And he will fail again if he runs for office with the same lack of gameplan.

I just know quite a few people said the election was rigged.(not people on here) Since we're Americans we're used to that, lol.

Ernie only lost by like 20 some votes I think, so he must have "locked up" some group, right?

The election was not rigged but many votes were mis-handled.

I heard a rumor like that.

With all of these crazy laws being created and repealed, it's gotta be pretty hard to keep track. I am not inclined to think that anyone working at the election would do anything on purpose.

And if anything did really happen, you would think it would be in the newspaper. Or one of the canidates would've asked for a recount, like what happened with the county. I am sure anyone who lost the election would use this as an excuse for recount if there was a shred of evidence to support the rumor.

I don't care who is on the council, we need to do something about the police budget.

Partially agreed.

I agree that if there was really something wrong that happened....one would think that Ernie would make a formal protest.

I also agree that the the Princeton Police budget is a joke. Why doesn't Mr.(I will add nothing to council other than to vote no to spending)Kallas speak up?!?! It would appear that the insane police budget would be a perfect target for Kallas....yet he does nothing!

I disagree that the Berlin Times Republic would report on any wrong doings about the election. Those idiots wouldn't report a real news story if they were invited to a press conference. An officer is released for mysterious reasons ...and yet no story? Kristin Radtke must have been interviewing a 3rd grader on how they would improve Princeton that week.LOL

Maybe the new alderperson from ward 1, Laura (?), will become active and stand up for the taxpayeras.

I just think Kallas is not a leader...not in the same way Ernie could have been. Kallas is better at rumbling and bumbling around town until someone else goes first. But he will join.

I would venture to say that the administrator would say something. He pushed for consolidiating the ambulance service to save money...except for the last time he took onthe an "emergency service" he was attacked by the EMTs and Laura and Pulvermacher and Kallas. So I do not see him trying that again soon.

Agreed 100%.

I was always conflicted about Ernie. I think he is a great person that really cares and I think him the smartest of the council group....but he really didn't want to save money on ambulances and probably would not have done much about reducing police costs. That old fire/police buddy buddy mentality clouded his judgement on what is best for all of Princeton.

The problem is that Princeton just can't continue on like business as usual. With a shrinking population and tax base...something has to give. One would think the incompetent police would be an easy target....but alas our ineffective council doesn't have the stones to really reduce the police budget. They are either too scared of retribution or too stupid to see the handwriting on the wall.

Weidles job is NOT to make friends. His job is to get the city the best bang for the buck on everything and that includes police spending.

If Weidle really wants to bolster his resume that he is posting on Linkedin he should clean up the mess that is known as the Princeton Police Dept.

Ohhhhhh watch out! All the people with nothing better to do in life are back complaining.
I certainly hope you aren't accusing anyone of doing anything illegal without a shred of proof. Although, that would be par for the course around here.
How would you know? Are you a poll worker? If so, which one are you?
I certainly hope you aren't in charge of anything even remotely important because you can't even spell.

How about we focus on something based in reality (and not some nonsense you heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone...), and that is the way the certain people want to spend the taxpayers money...Especially the PD.

Man was Fresh Princeton Voice right!

I couldn't remember his name but knew there were people for a couple years talking about the city admin, chief and council.

But you still have dumb people on here talking about even more police and the city admin wasn't friendly enough?!?!

To all these dumbarses, fire the police, fire that idiotic council and with all the money hire a smart experienced city manager to keep Princeton from going bankrupt!

Do it now before its too late.

Not gonna happen. Garro wants the city turned into a giant prison with a cop/guard at every corner.

The dumb residents keep going along with whatever Garro and Bargenquast feed them.

This will be a town a city of 500 inbred morons at the next census. Real Estate companies are trying to give property away.

Taxes will skyrocket and then they will ask for a fourth full time officers to respond to the suicides.

Like others I see a bleek future for this city that lacks one smart leader.

Princeton has become a crap hole over the past few years.

There must be really bad council and mayor to let that city get that bad!

I got pulled over by Barney Fife for going 5 miles over!

This city is a speed trap that should be avoided!

No more crap holes! no more giant prisons! No more idiotic counsels. Let's go you inbred morons of Princeton! Vote Barny Fife and his one bullet out of office. Ernst T Bass for mayor! Craig Counsel for town counsel! Chief bender for chief of police! Ariel Bender on lead guitar! You can do it! Ya cheddar heads...
