Bob, "capitalist path we are being told to follow"?.....What other path do you think a democracy should be following?.....There was a great article by Joe Scarborough in Parade magazine about, "My Fix for what Ail's the GOP"....about how the Glen Beck Conservatives are quite different than the William F. Buckley Conservatives.....Frankly, i think the whole System, needs a lite overhaul.....
There's more than one path that capitalism could take. But understand that your use of the word democracy flies right into the face of what conservatives have been howling about since November of 2008........ The US of A is a republic!

There is nothing in the true conservative plan to provide for democracy.

As I've already tried to offer and got trolled upon by you and the Obama Glee Club Trio for my effort, conservatives are looking to Wisconsin and Gov Scott Walker's success using proven conservative methods that have resulted in an economic turnaround and a surplus in only a few short years as an example of what we are fighting to put in place.

Conversely, all the progressives have done is empower an arrogant, irresponsible administration with "pen and a phone" threats that openly symbolize their willingness to throw democracy out the window and do exactly what they please despite checks and balances or the constitution, which your side has stated is outdated and flawed.

So for you to even consider coming on here and suggesting that the left is somehow now championing the virtues of democracy is chuckle-worthy. No one should be surprised that once again the very thing you progressives are whining about now is exactly what the party you voted for is guilty.

Once again, you refuse to face the facts of the issue. Whether it is because you're just ignorant, or if you have a hidden purpose isn't the point. Your fellow baggers have been howling about the so-called fact that this country is in no way, shape, or form a democracy, but is a constitutional republic. This makes complete sense when you study the thought process of the typical patriot and how they wish to deal with those who don't follow their political beliefs.

Regardless of that, the current version of capitalism we are being subjected to cannot last. We will reach a tipping point, if we haven't already gotten there, when the majority is so far behind the minority, that this same majority shall seek to correct that problem.

The patriots on the right call this a war on the rich.... That's probably pretty close, though a more accurate way to describe it would be a counter-attack on the rich. Sadly, too many of these people refuse to see that the majority is simply using the most basic freedom providing by the constitution to accomplish these so called attacks.

We're told that the mere thought that the majority rules in this country is somehow wrong....

I guess that revered document doesn't work as well as the patriots thought it did!

Are you insane?

I don't speak for anyone but myself first of all, so what other people are "whining" about means little to me. Go ankle bite them about their words.

As for this untenable capitalism, you elected and re-elected the current administration, so whatever we are "being subjected to" is a result of your ignorant vote. You've had almost a term and a half to fundamentally transform America and instead of solving whatever issues you have with our current form of capitalism, you chose to spend it forcing what is truly an unsustainable health care overhaul down America's throat - a law that reached it's tipping point before it was even voted on unread.

Now, as for your whiny constitution rant - winning the presidency does not give one party the ability to pass whatever laws they want, no matter how many times you cry about it! The progressives have opted to take a scorched earth, no-negotiation stance with the republicans. The blame for the lack of functionality within our government has more to do with the democrats' willingness to be overrun by progressive radicals that refuse to compromise as anything the republicans or capitalists have done.

Now go away and don't come back until you have at least have a whine that makes sense.

Did anyone else see the menu at the O event with French Pres. Quail eggs? In a tent? Dogs had diamonds necklaces on...... Wonder how that helps the down trodden.....
