The Sturgeon Poacher pleaded guilty today.

His sentencing is scheduled for August 14. Court records show he lives very close to where he was fishing:

Looks like the guy has multiple convictions for assaults, too. What a great citizen.

He admitted that he knew what he had caught when he caught it. They need to make an example out of him! Show him the same mercy he did the sturgeon.

He did not shoot anyone so I am guessing about a $200 fine and no probation.

Think again!
" Penalties for illegally taking lake sturgeon are instituted to assist in rehabilitation. Violators face up to $3,500 in fines and restitution and/or up to 180 days in jail, plus the loss of their fishing license. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone illegally taking a lake sturgeon."

Relax, that was satire over the $400 fine and 6 months probation a cop got for shooting a GVSU student last week.

hey, he's had his 15 minutes of fame, now he's facing a lifetime of infamy, let it go.
as i stated previously it's replacable. no one died, no child pornography or piscine molestation occurred (i presume), etc.

Give him the max and once his debt to society is paid let him move on with what is left of his reputation and life.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Cancer

You may not be privy to every little thing that's going on around you, but so what? Crabs can't always be in control, but you don't need to feel insecure, either. Thanks to your electronic devices, you appear to be a little godlike to those who don't have the same access as you do at the moment. Just make sure that you memorise the important stuff in case the system goes down.
