I think the last line of this article is a low-blow. I imagine the Dad feels bad enough without the press intimating that alcohol 'might' have been involved?! That was the last thing from my mind when I read it.

I'm probably just drawing a blank here, but where is there a campground in Crockery Twp? Not that it matters as far as the story goes, but hey if there is one, why not check it out and support the locals ya know?????

My thoughts and prayers are with this family and especially the father, unintentional harm to your child has to be devastating. this is why it is an accident....and VERY UNINTENTIONAL!!

WZZM would put that in the story even if the dad had a drink 4 nights ago.
It seems to be their favorite "catch all phrase", if they can't find something else to write about they use that.

Small local business...too small to merit a free wzzm commercial like the downtown developments or even the ferry in Muskegon.

NOTICE....WZZM removed that line.....I applause them for that!! I don't think that was necessary either.

Good. I am glad they removed it. I am sure it was done after the BAC test came back though. It wasn't done because of how we feel they wrote the article.

Ok why the hell would a father be so irresponsible to let his kid be that close to trees he was clearing with a fricken bulldozer?

You should speak for yourself not everyone prays. I do hope the boy is fine though!

The campground is "Conestoga Campground" off Leonard St. between Coopersville & Allendale.

Well I'm sure the father did not expect the tree to fall the way it did, and it was for sure a very bad mistake on his part, he and his son are very close so we should keep them in our thoughts and prayers be positive and not negative, this accident or any form of accident can happen at any given time to each and everyone of us for what ever reason so we all need to keep that in mind before judging others.

Maybe the Dad and child had a good relationship. I know my kids love to help their Dad do, or fix things all the time. Even when precautions are taken, accidents do happen. Don't blame this man for having a good relationship with his kids, many kids would rather sit in front of the b.oob tube. I would not call that a good relationship.

I wish the boy a healthy recovery.

Its actually west of 68th ave on Leonard, not between Allendale/Coopersville. Its closer to Leonard and 104th right on the Grand River.
