Way too many wierdo's and sicko's out there, fully armed.....unfortunatley, even the NRA might agree to that....surprised Clinton does'nt get it, i alway's thought it was lifetime already....
|
Nor H.W. Bush, or Carter. I haven't heard of any attempts on their lives since they left office. My opinion is it's for the benefit of G.W. and it can't be done so it seems like it's for the benefit of just one. I agree, way too many weirdos ans sickos out there. |

I alway's see a posse walking with Carter, everytime they show him, so i had taken it for granted that they all got it.....especially with that movie with Nicholas Cage , Guarding Tess..... |
This reverses the 1994 law that limited Secret Service protection to 10 years after leaving office. I don't know. Maybe preceding presidents were grandfathered in because they left office before 1994. shrug Maybe Clinton is the only one that missed out. again shrug |
|
Bush should be safe. Most of the wierdos and sickos are in DC. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I rather doubt it is to benefit G.W., after all, he "left me a huge mess" is what Obama is constantly saying. I suspect it is more to protect Obama as more and more citizens are losing their fascination with his arrogant attitude. |

Even though D.C. is high crime I haven't yet heard of a mass killing like in CT, or the school kids in OH, or CO, VA, or an attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gifford in AZ. Or the assassination of Kennedy in TX and John Lennon in NYC. But then there was the assassination attempt on Reagan in D.C. |

Never have heard Obama say that, maybe you could show it here? Since, as you say he is constantly saying it?....Oh, and by the way, Something you'll love....Golf channel had a show on Golf and the Presidents, told how Eisenhower, during his two terms, played 800 rounds of golf........ |

Cheers to morons who can't read or comprehend the article they posted.
"1994 law it applied to presidents first elected after Jan. 1, 1997 -- i.e., Bush and Obama." Seems quite clear that the law only applied to Bush and Obama in the first place, so it would make logical sense that those are the only two that would benefit from reversing it. |
|
So now that it suits your purpose you are willing to take a news paper article as whole and complete on an issue. Got it. As I found out later Carter, and even Lady Bird Johnson while she was still alive, still had details outside the 10 year limit of the "law". That aside, I said in the post you are not so I didn't know. So there seems to be a comprehension issue with the accuser. You might want to try it sometime....saying you don't know. NA, that wouldn't happen. |

I'm not the one who posted the article then asked questions about something that was blatantly obvious from the same article posted. Bush would have been the first president in history to not get SS for life after a law passed in 1994. This ruling just reversed the 1994 law. Yes, I believe wives of former presidents are included in this, I thought I remember seeing a documentary about one of the former presidents wives and her SS detail. I think Bush and Obama will probably need secret service for life. |
|
Googled it...got 897,000 hits in 0.26 seconds. See how easy that way? You might try it sometime. I bet there are even articles from your buddies the New York Times, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, and if you look really hard, BBC. By the way, the google was "Obama blames Bush". For someone who claims to know what goes on in the big wide world, you certainly seem to not know a lot of the things Obama has said and continues to say. And yes, I know President Eisenhower played a lot of golf, but he didn't have a 16 Trillion $$ debt he should have been worrying about, now did he? |
|
Again with the comprehension deal. I didn't ask any questions about it. This thread is only 16 posts long, go look. |
|
It's unequivocal. Lets say Obama didn't say it. I will. Along with the rest of the non-revisionist historians. It's a part of history. And maybe when you grow up some you'll figure out that it's more times than not easier to screw something up in a much shorter time that it takes to correct it. And most of the time as monumental a screw ups as Chenny, Rumsfeld and Bush, in that order, because Bush was just the president by title only. And you betchya rufy Obama screwed up in a major way by promising he would clear it up in his first term. Either very naive or politically aware. Even though he made such an impossible promise I believe the people chose that over the opposition saying there was nothing to be changed. But isn't it interesting Susan Eisenhower, grand-daughter of Dwight D. Eisenhower endorsed Obama. http://susaneisenhower.com/2012/10/29/why-i-a... Huh. And by looking at her resume I don't think it can credibly said she doesn't know what she's talking about. |
|
Excuses, excuses, excuses. That is all we have heard for 4 years and now for 4 more years. With one difference...this last 4 years, he is proving to be even more arrogant and disrespecting of the American people AND the Constitution. Seems you don't really care about that either because you busily make excuses for him. Rather hypocritical of you don't you think? Or is this the "new" norm...progressives don't care what happens as long as a Dem is in office. Saw that coming. |

Really,...aka Sandy...aka Real Sandy.....Hope you got a comfy place picked out, to watch the President's second inauguration today....Got your HDTV working good, maybe some shrimp dip....I might suggest as a beverage choice....a nice Hawaiian Punch(Red, simply for the irony), in honor of your beloved President's birthplace...lol....Enjoy now, and don't forget the pork rinds.......... |
That's Sandy?...makes sense now. Keep changing "names" not wanting to be forthright enough to be recognized for their convictions but make it seem like there are more of them out there. |
