Now the state enters the picture and initial test reveal....nothing. So now that the rumor has run down the lane and the evidence thats been presented is the affected homes where FLOODED within the past 2 years. If there is nothing found in this community which major news agencies reported as a cancer cluster, will a class action suite aganst thoes involved agencies recope the financial loss that their ILL-BASED reports caused to our property (ies)? This is the issue I'll address with the township and community a our next meeting. News agencies reported and NAMED OUR COMMUNITY with NO research and directly impacted the property values in our development, not our township or those effcted homes or the street, but naming our devopment. I believe it is financial responciblity on the part of these reporting, as if it were a feeding frenzy, news agencies which have a resoponcibity to the commmunity whom they have mis-represented.

The tests revealed nothing. I have lived in the neighborhood for 20+ years, I have an illness (MS) I believe this is all just a coincidence.

This case is very interesting. I am willing to come to the next mount laurel meetings because I want to know what the resdients have to say to the health officals(hippocites) have to say. If you watched the Erin Brocvitch movie, its a perfect example of what going on in Mount Laurel. This is the role of the business world and their efects on the consumers and not willing to do anything about it because they knew the TRUTH all along!

Isn't it ironic that Menedes is running for his seat and is willing to side with the residents. What coincidence! He'll do anything to hold his senate seat.

If you want to stop the flooding, bag your leaves in a transparent bag during autum. The township has already paid a huge amount of money redoing the roads and sewage lines in Countryside.

So, you think this is all a result of people just not bagging their leaves? Are you retarded?

My family lived in the Ramblewood development in Mt.Laurel for 23 years or so. We've since moved to Colorado, but my mom, who was diagnosed with colon cancer 15 years ago while living in mt.laurel, just now got diagnosed for bone, lung, and brain cancer.

i think if they really opened up this can of worms, we would all discover just how much cancer is in the area - and its high time that the people who have exposed the community to toxic poisons be brought to trial. how can industry get away with poisoning the public??? it is our job as citizens to stand up to the bureacratic bull and let them know - its NOT OKAY.

We have to pierce the illusion of "coincidence" and investigate into the truth of what is really going on in mt.laurel, in new jersey, and all over our world.

Were the waters thoroughly tested? Im sure they were, but wanted to mention that a few years ago high illness numbers in Washington Township area were linked to water toxins.

I used to live at 165 schoolhouse lane mount laurel n.j. for about 12 1/2 years. i was diagnosed with cml cancer about 6 years ago. my ex wife and my daughter still live there. I know that all of the area surrounding the south branch of the pennsauken creek was a giant land fill on the cherry hill side. They just are not digging deep enough into the ground under those big tax collecting wharehouses next to the creek. Its there.Who knows maybe they'll find J.H. buried there.

I can not agree more Mark!!!! I live in another development near by and I am having a difficult time selling my house. The last potential buyer walked away because of the "Issue with countryside" I don't think anyone realizes what they have just done to our property values! Even though the tests have found nothing we all now live next to the love cannal! Great job

Our organization, People Investigating Toxic Sites, has many files of schools across the country that were built on or adjacent to closed dumps containing carcinogenic chemicals. Has there been a title search of the Countryside Elementary School property on Schoolhouse Lane to determine if it was built on a dumpsite?

Another school is near a section of Schoolhouse Lane. The Gymnastics and Cheerleading Academy, at 5 Larwin Road, Cherry Hill. In addition to a property title search, research of old maps of the area would help determine if there is a closed dump in this neighborhood.

What is really scary about this is when I was a kid in 1960, there was an abandoned chemical warehouse on Church Road in Mount Laurel It was located about 1/2 mile on left from Rt 73 towards Traino's and where the road elevates in height. There were a ton of right blue chemical drums that were full and tipped over and spilled out. When we saw the poison sign we ran away. When they built houses there in the late 70's or early 90's, I telephoned the NJ DEP several times and I was advised that the site was "ok." I wonder if those people that live there were informed of this. If you live near here, please check this out. I think the area is across from the Hovnanian property and id I remember there is a lake across the street and adjacent to the Hovnanian estate. Does that water go to any public access??? I will check back to see if anyone needs more direction on this. But records must exist.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Cancer

You've got high hopes about someone or something today, and you're confident that everything will turn out well. If a positive attitude is a guarantee of a positive outcome then you have nothing to worry about. But is it? There's a chance that you're being far too optimistic, and confusing fantasy with fact. If so, you'll be in for a big disappointment.
