Just wanted to make sure everyone is clear on how a phone line works with an alarm system and central station. Once the line is cut the central station CAN NOT get any signals. No troubles, no supervisory, and no alarm signals. If you can't dial and talk, neither can your alarm. Doesn't matter if you have back up battery. New technology now uses cell towers to transmit signal. This safeguards you from line cut and the future when the phone companies no longer support telephone lines.
