I refuse to believe that. How can it be a waste of tax money when it is tax money keeping these people on welfare? The working people who could use a little help do not qualify, those who choose to nothing but sell crack out of their low income homes get everything while they pump out crack babies who grow up in the system. This sounds like a load of bs to me,smells like it to

try reading the article....
"only 108 of the 4,086 people who took a drug test failed "
"The state's net loss?$45,780"

needless to say i do not believe that "crack heads" should get benefits, but wasting that much money over 108 losers does not make since.

The testing will pay for itself. How? By the savings on not paying the welfare druggies that fail. I worked all my life and am sick of scammers. I know one person there that got married , had a kid, got divorced.. THEN got all the section * housing, free cell phone, internet, energy assistance, food stamps and what ever else they qualify for , THEN the X husband , who works, moves into the section 8 housing with her....HOW CORRUPT IS THAT???

sometimes facts are a bit pesky

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/18/us/no-savin...

http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/04/20/2758871...

http://tv.msnbc.com/2012/12/07/more-states-co...

like i said i don't think we should give benefits to ADULTS that use drugs. i also do not want a lot of my tax money going to waste so 3 people per 100 applicants will get refused benefits.

Ok net loss of 45,780, but say each one of those 108 got, lets say even an amount of 400.00ea month in benefits,(access card, medical fuel assistance etc) 400 x 108 =43200.00.
If you force everyone to do it,yes it will be costly on the front end as folks will start to get the picture...later down the road make it random, x number of folks will get tested per how many apply/or are receiving benefits
and its the luck of the draw if you get picked or not....if you fail, you will never ever be eligible again to get benefits.
My tax dollars help support you not your drug habit.

the problem is that the state spent $118K to reimburse those who passed the test. so the net loss was 45K. if the test was cheaper and the kids are still taken care of a fed. I'm all for cutting them off.

ok so now i refuse to accept it.i guess it's just one of those things you can't fix.i know of people who can't afford health insurance and can't get state help because they own their own home(i should say they have a mortage)and have a newer car, then we have people doing nothing and getting everything.they live in government housing for free, get medical, cash, foodstamps, and,th ey get their heat paid for, plus they get a free tracfone paid for every month. tally that up for a month for 2 snot nosed lazy kids making babies and selling their food stamps for drugs.nobody makes them even look for a job.work all your life and lose your job and you have to jump thru hoops for unemployment until you find work, isee it all over this area and alot of othe places.the liberals want to turn a blind eye.

don't get me wrong if some one needs help they should get it,that's what the welfare system was meant to do,help the working man(or woman),not let people live for free.
