I remember our last police force, for years we had 1 police car 1 full time and 2 part time officers
they answered complaints and served papers,it did not seem that they were a revinew generator.Isee our dept as just that now neither serving or protecting but further assistingour mayor in her PERSONAL adjenda our mayor was elected promicing to retain grants to help develop our city park for the youth a skate park, swimming pool but since the election I havent even heard a rumor of any development other than an ever growing police force thank God we have a chance to vote in april mabee we can sell off all this EXTRA policing and use it to better our town instead or repress it

I feel the same way as you! I am still waiting for the betterment of our community. A way to stop our children from becoming delinquents and pawns for the police station when the grow up. We need something in this town to take our children off the street's ( swimming pool, skate park ). But no, we get a 20,000 dollar car ( I personally think it was more)? and a bunch of unecessary harassment for people who have never done drug's in their life and doesn't associate with people who do drug's, but yet we all are searched when stopped for dumb reasons (license plate light)? Who in their right mind would go down to the lion's den (council meeteing's) and stoke the fire for some more harassment? I will personally be their once the mayor is gone because you won't have a brick wall protecting you anymore! You harass people and are not part of my community and never will be, you are just buying your time here!

I have some stats herethat I gathered

in 2006 there were 440 traffic stops
(only 198 stops on the hwy)!
in 2007 there were 1700 traffic stops

in 2006 there were 218 citations
in 2007 there were 300 citations

our crime in this town consists of thiefs
in 2006 there were 2 robberies,2 assaults
15 burgleries,and 113 thefts
to be fair, no drug arrests were available at my resource
which is..." citydata.com "
and the very informative flier provided by the police station.

. "The traffic stops that we do not write tickets on sometimes help us develop cases…

...Pulling vehicles over for simple traffic violations such as tail lights or license plate lights being out help keep the drugs out of Marionville”

ATTENTION MARIONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT: As you can see, the citizens of marionville do not want warnings for their traffic violations! They want tickets!! From now on, if I were you, I would write a ticket to every person I stopped in that town. Because obviously, thats what they want. Try that for a while and see what happens to the bitching on this site then!!! hahahah idiots....

"..for years the town had a couple of cops..." Yeah,so did Mayberry...in 1962,you 90 year old fool. They didn't have a meth problem in Mayberry like Marionville does. Check the registered sex offender list online and note how many live in Marionville. A woman was stabbed to death in a house next to the silly old woman on Council who regularly berates the police. The Council is generally a collection of senior citizens hiding from the outside world and obtuse hillbillies who struggle to string a coherent sentence together. The regular candidates for Mayor and Council who return every election would be laughed at in the rest of the country.Marionville is a seedy little hillbilly ghetto town,on a par with the worst parts of north Springfield, ran by a collection of blind people feeling of an elephant and saying what they think it is. It may take a couple of months with no police at all for the few normal people who live there to throw out the garbage, elect a normal council that won't consider city government a hillbilly feud fight, and settle into normal ,small town government practices. Like an adequate pilice force.

Bla, bla, bla. The speed limit is the speed limit!! Here's a thought.......OBEY THE LAW AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT!!!!! DID YOU PAY FOR THE CAR OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET? OR DID YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE TAXES?? AH...SEE HOW EASY THAT WAS? WHEN YOU HAVE TO PAY THE FULL 25,000.00, THEN COMPLAIN. OR MAYBE BITCH AT BORDENS MILK COMPANY BECAUSE YOU PAID TAXES ON SEVERAL LOAVES OF BREAD AND YOU SAW A BRAND NEW MILK TRUCK THIS YEAR!!! MAKE SENSE??? AH...WHEN MCDONALD'S BUILDS A NEW PLAYLAND...I WOULD RAISE HELL BECAUSE I BET THEY ARE USING THE TAXES YOU HAVE PAID ON ALL THOSE BURGERS FOR THAT.....WOW...NOW THATS WRONG....YOU IDIOT...IT'S THE SAME CONCEPT.

TO THE MPD SGT., It's no good. It's like yelling "Aw..throw the ball!!" to a TV screen while watching a game. They can yell it out because they aren't there. Well, they aren't in your shoes as an officer. So, what do they do, they yell out as if they really knew what was going on. They don't understand, they will never understand. But, as usual, when they are in need...who will they call??? All they can say is "I pay taxes..I pay taxes" Well, you know what, you pay taxes too, so consider yourself "self-employed" and carry on. Let their jealousy run wild. As it will...I promise...just watch how the jealousy unfolds in whatever thier next comments are. Hey, sarge, have a great day and write one or two for me.
