I was wondering, the new grocery store that's going in over by Kings Gate, are the people that own "Clever Market" building that? If not I hope that won't hurt the little market. I have only lived here for 3 years but it's a nice little place. I would hate to see it go under.

Too many people say his prices are high. Just wait till Murfins comes in and trys to pay for a brand new store in the town of Clever, You think Wades prices are too high. Have you checked the prices of tobacco and Alcohol anywhere else. Lets see if you can charge a gallon of milk at Murfins when your broke!!!

I really enjoy shopping at the new Murfins Market in Clever. All of the employees I have encountered are very courteous and helpful. Sure beats driving into Nixa or Republic as the store is right down the street from our home.

Good suggestion about Wade turning his little store into a smoke shop and liquor store. Could definitely end up being a money-maker for him afterall.

Clever Supermarket was a great store. All these negative comments are from former employees (who we are Thankful are gone), customer who charged and then tried to get out of paying. You'll never know what a good thing that store was to the community. If you have negative comments then why don't you come out and say them to the families face? Scared, I know you are. Your just jealous your working a dead end job and he's retiring! Loser. If he's such a bad business owner than why did he just donate over $40,000 in groceries to needy families right here in Clever! I'd like to see Murfin's do that. Wade actually worked in his store everyday unlike other grocery owners. So, if you have any other comments about this store than maybe you should just learn to keep your mouth shut when you can't say something nice!

i have been here a long time & wades store has always been bad- everything was expired & old & majority of his stock was soured or rotten. You really had to look before you bought.. & by the way- i never worked there. & if he did donate stuff then great, but thats why his prices were always double or triple then other stores.. He is a nice guy but stunk at running a business.

I have shopped the new Murfins and think it is really nice. Not being from Clever, I have not shopped at Wade's that often. I do know that Wade's had Irish cobbler seed potatoes, which I saw advertised as I drove by, when no one else had them last summer and turned around and bought some. But the real reason I am commenting on here is: I would like to see Murfins have an online ad like some of the other stores, since I don't have any other way except going in the store to see what is on sale. Wonder if this would be possible?

Lesie just cuz your an old upset lady that hasnt had any since the 1950"s doesnt mean that you should slander a great store such as murfins market i've been there a million times and have always had a great experience... and as for the owner not being there he is a very successful business man theat has to manage other 4 stores cuz he has tripled the business wades has.

Hey I was in the Murfins market in Clever. Nice people and clean store. Murfins Marrionville sure helped our church out by giving us produce that was being thrown out. We cooked & fed 10 elderly people one meal a week for a year. These people truly needed this help. Not many stores would do something like that. Just think of the waste in this country.

I can tell you this, as a former employee, I should have sued him for sexual harassment. I was only 17 years-old when I worked for him and didn't know any better. The man is a sick, dirty pervert!!

Murfins called me over the weekend to tell me I had won a bag of groceries. I was greatly surprised when I picked it up today. Over $25.00 in really great items. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I will shop here again and support the community.

Sounds like someone is bitter over being cut for the Clever basketball team. What's wrong? Please entertain me and tell.

To Who Cares..I dont know either of you but "Who Cares" is clearly a very unthankful, unholy person. Maybe someday "Who Cares" will be in a spot where he/she would be happy that someone gave him/her a raw potato to eat, not to mention $25 of food. He/she has just shown the world why most of us would not want to be a friend/associate of his.
