Congrats to the new owners. Good luck and don't move too fast! If you want to stay in business, make your changes in BABY STEPS. It keeps the seasonals happy, and will draw in new seasonals and new customers as you improve the place over time.

Glad to see the place is afloat. As far as a name change, I think that may have been a mistake. Its always been Kastle, and its known as Kastle. It will take a LONG time to get the change out on the street.

Good luck

Wellllll, sounds like there are A LOT of unhappy, bitter people out there. Wow! Take a happy pill and chill, ok? hehehehe ;-) We've been out at Krazy J's now for 3 seasons, and I challenge ANYONE to find a better campground! For real I do! And we don't kiss anyone's asses, I'll add. Nope..not in this lifetime! Our site is BEAUTIFUL, facing the woods it is. And we have GREAT neighbors, on both sides of us. The new owners have never bothered us, and they live 2 lots over. In fact, 1 day, they saw my husband working outside, and they helped out, without him even asking. We can have a fence at Krazy J's, so our dogs don't have to be leashed up. And, it's ok if you have 3 dogs, just so they're well behaved, and you pick up immediately after them. Also, you can add decks, roofs, sheds, whatever, to make it more "homey". They're store is great, and they keep the grounds up very well. They even trim the lower branches off of the trees. So if you have a complaint, well honestly, I don't know where you would be happy then. Good luck with that! ;-) We do stay to ourselves pretty much, because we're out there to enjoy the outdoors, and the peace and quiet with ourselves and our dogs. We don't do the bar scene, so I can't comment on that area, but it appears to be a really nice bar. Oh! When our friends moved, and we helped them with that, we did order some pizzas and sandwiches from their dining area. The owner was very helpful, and everyone commented on how good the food was. Soooooo, if someone has a complaint with the campground...hmmm...I don't know what to say. Except maybe...good luck being happy anywhere! ;-) Peace Out! hehehehe

#899 Mar 9, 2011 last thing. ;-) I think the name needed to be changed. New owners...a new beginning, you know? If I were them, I wouldn't want to be associated in any way, with what has gone on there with 2 previous owners. I heard when Chris owned it, it was a "great" party campground, but last I heard, drugs are illegal, you know? ;-) And, with the charges against Brian, I would want to distance my business away from those also. And, one last thing I want to add, not everyone goes out there to drink the entire weekend, and party. And so what if they are??? What's it to you??? Even though we're camping in an rv, doesn't mean we aren't enjoying the outdoors, because we are. That's what we're there for. So put that in your flat hat and smoke it! Ha!:-)

WAUPACA - Brian Miller, the former owner of a Waupaca County campground, pleaded no contest Thursday to one count of sexual assault. Three other charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.

At a preliminary hearing, three men testified Miller, 44, gave them alcohol, then made unwanted sexual advances at what was Kastle Kampground in the Town of DuPont. The campground has since been sold.

Sentencing is set for June 29. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Who cares kamper. He is long gone and has no reflection on the new place. Why would you even bother posting this here to bring it all back.

Correct. Who gives a rats ars. He is long gone and I feel the best management we have had there in 6 years has taken the place over. They do a great job and have the business savvy to get this campground rolling again.

Right! They didn't care when he was at the campground, why should they care now?!?! They really should rename the campground.. "anti-kastle, but still brian lovers place!"

Ya idiots, kamper was just trying to be helpful, because 85% of this forum is about Miller and the shithole. But I guess no one should be surprised at the lack of care/empathy/smarts/and whatever else anyone would like to add, from you moronic assholes.

Too bad miller didn't go after your buttholes instead of those poor kids, you all deserve it more.

Not Funny.. so then it's ok.. he shouldn't have to pay for what he did??!!?? Many people were assaulted as a child and didn't molest others.. please, don't make excuses for a child molester.

GB camper.. I've tried, but my head doesn't reach around that far.. xoxo

Perhaps changing the name to Castle Campground would be a good start if this business wants to succeed...
