I would just like to comment on Kastle Kampground in Marion, WI. I have never been to a campground that is so unorganized. From the pictures I have seen I thought this place would be great, boy was I wrong! The pool is tiny for such a large campground, the picture made it look huge.. FALSE! The manager looks like she's stuck in the 60's and I was honestly afraid to talk to any of them. My advice is to go elsewhere.. I personally had a very bad experience and will never go again.

The facilities for this campground are good. The boat for rent and the boat docks are nice. The staff and customer service at registation, the camp store, and the security are very rude. I was told they are seasonal site campers that also work at the campground. We were there for the July 4th weekend and heard complaints from many campers that had bad experiences. We would never go back.

I have been taking my family to Kastle campground for many years and we have always loved the place. This year we went a few times and we all hated it every time. The security people are all very rude. They are constantly bitching at someone. It's really no fun at all anymore. It's more like a prison. It's a shame that a campground that use to be so enjoyable has turned into this. The new owners really SUCK and have ruined it for everyone. I think we will be checking out North Forest. I as a parent can watch my own children and do not need a warden yelling at them and telling them not to splash each other with water.

I agree we have been going to Kastle for several years and enjoyed it. Until this year when they put wardens all over and became completely disorganzed. In addition now it has come out that the owner has been arrested for molesting children at the campground. We will never go there again even without these latest allegations.

We have camped at Kastle in years past, and went once this year. We weren't thrilled, it seemed like the staff were everywhere with their golf carts, it was kinda creepy. Once we were walking our dogs and they stopped us to ask if we had baggies for poop...I pulled a bunch out of my pocket to prove we intended to pick up any mess they made. We have to go again this coming weekend because we had one weekend earlier scheduled and we had to cancel, but we weren't allowed to do that and get our money back, we had to reschedule or lose our money. I don't know of any other campground that does that with 2 weeks of notice trying to cancel. We'll see how it goes this weekend, maybe the staff will be even more vigalent with thier carts given the situation with the owner? Maybe they were too busy watching the campers and should have been watching the owner....

our whole family had a really bad expirence at kastle kampground, becuase the owners were rude, disrespectful, && raciest. they should call it the K.K.K campground because of how they acted. we used to love going there until the new owners had to ruin it for us. Some of the teens in our family wen to rent a boat. they paid & went to get a boat.the boat they took ended up being the owners boat. the owners son came and was yellin screaming hollering at the young teens with alot of anger, they were swearing alot, and trying to start a fight. He also made racial remarks. It was the owners fault for the mistake as they did not walk down to the lake & issue them a specific boat. they told the kids to grab there own. we had alot more people coming up to camp with us after the incident, && they paid their money they were asked to leave even tho they had nothing to do with it. We spent alot of money that weekend on campsites & we felt very much victimized by the owners. We used to go to kastle kampground every year & had no problem until it was sold 2 summers ago. I will not return until I am guarenteed it is ran by different owners. As we were leaving the workers were patting there mouths making hooping & hollering sounds trying to mock us. That was the most racist thing I have ever experienced. I am also angry & hurt that the younger children in my family had there first racist experience. thank you for taking the time to hear our story sincerely, A Wisconsin Native American Family

I have read the comments above. How disheartening. I have been a camper at Kastle for 10 years. Yes, there are issues there right now, but come on. It is a good place outside the whacky staff. Things will turn around and really are we camping to worry about the staff or camping to enjoy the "true" meaning of camping!

If you google Kastle they claim to be a safe place to take your kids, a place to make memories? Yeah my children will remember the summer they seen this crap on the news for the rest of their lifes. And this is Safe? How is camping safe when a perv owns the place? And for the seasonal campers that would like to defend the place? Come on get real! Brian is not gone. He is far from gone. He still owns the place and can come and go as he pleases. He knows the place like the back of his own sick hands. I have always love the place and it's sad that one sick man has to ruin it. But honestly how can you tell me you feel safe when he owns it. Protest people. Why would you want to put more money into Brian's pocket? So he can afford a better lawyer? He has a record longer than any I have ever seen. If you truly love the place pull your camper out and refuse to return until that sick fuck has nothing to do with it! Think about it...If you continue to camp your supporting that sick fuck. Your paying his bills. Get real people. Pull your campers and refuse to return until he is gone. Kastle will hold this stigma above it's head for a long time. But until Brian is truly gone Kastle is not the Kastle Kampground I want my children running around at. I understand things like this happen but if you continue to support him as far as I am concerned you are just as sick and simple minded as he is. Stand up for yourselfs pull your campers down the road-Dont keep the place open. If you know Kastle soo well than you would understand that without sitting around doing nothing we could all make a stand and get the place shut down until the only option left is to sell A.s.a.p. The place have been open for almost 30 year and someday hopefully without him involved can go back to the way it was before he got his grubby hands on it. Find a new Vacation home for the summer, Obviously the staff can't keep you safe or this would not have happend in the first place. Listen to yourselfs-The TRUE MEANING OF CAMPING! I never knew the true meaning of camping was to support some sick f*** which is what you are doing if you stay. Help us bring the true meaning of camping back- DO WHAT IS RIGHT! Make a stand!

I can't believe some of the stuff I am reading on here. The true meaning of camping. yeah the true meaning of camping is to have a good time not be worried about some sick stuff like this. Kastle Kampground has been open for almost 30 years. Last year a sicko bought the place and it has went down hill since. If you really wanna support Kastle do what's right pull your campers out-Refuse to give Brian any more of your money. He is not gone. He is out on Bond and can come and go as he pleases. He knows the place like the back of his hand. Anyone that is willing to stick around is just as sick as he is. Yeah let's put more money into Brian's pocket so he can afford a better lawyer. Come on people get real! PROTEST! Let's get the place shut down. Pull your camper elsewhere for the summer. Hopefully next season that sicko will be behind bars and Kastle can re-open with a normal owner that doesnt have a rap sheet the size of Texas. And as for the true meaning of camping- get real that's a load of bull! The staff cannot protect you anymore now than they could before. Obviosly-They work for him. Do what's right-not what's easy. Yeah maby you don't wana let go of your vacation home but get real. Honestly it's all over the news, the internet, it's everywhere-Word is out. By sticking around you are supporting it. Trust me I would like to see nothing more than the old Kastle I remember camping at as a child myself-But I will not have my kids looking back remembering the news and knowing that I as the person that is supposta protect them supported it. Pull out- Let's get the place shut down. The sooner it shuts down the sooner a new-Hopefully normal owner can reopen and return it to the Kastle it usta be!

I don't camp at Kastle, though I don't live too far away from there. I agree that the owner should be kept far away. However, "Mother of 5" is a little out of control and extremely judgmental. How can you say that someone who is still camping there is "as sick as he is?" Yeah, sure, you would know that, of course. Also, you should go back to school and learn a little grammar, writing, and spelling. What you wrote couldn't pass in a 5th grade English class. I sure hope you aren't home schooling your kids.

I too am a Kastle Kamper for may years. I have seen many changes and gone through three owners.

Brian J. Miller is the worst business person I have seen running such an establishment.

He use to or still does owns apartments in Madison, I think what happened here, when he bought Kastle, he decided to treat all the vacationers and seasonal like apartment tenants.

We are not tenants, MOST of us own our homes and come here to SPEND MONEY and have fun, but Brian saw us as low lifers and did not have a bit of common sense to know that we "The Seasonal's" pay the bills.

I like many others are leaving the KKK Atmosphere

I want you to understand, I am NOT leaving because what Brian has done, I am leaving because everyone employed "if you can call it that" by Brian are a bunch of misfits who has not EVER been in charge of anything in their entire lives, now Brian hires them to do Security. WHAT A JOKE!

Now tat these misfits finally have some power in their lives, it went STRAIGHT TO THEIR HEAD!

That why we are leaving -

I remember your family being there LAST YEAR. Is that why the sheriff was called? I understand from the Sheriff that "your family" was drunk and disorderly, and starting fights with other campers. I welcome your story, but there are always 2 sides to each one. Seems like some of the details were forgotten.

Knowing some one can do that to a child is disturbing. I hope he gets what he deserves...he needs to be locked away so he can never hurt another child. Im sure there was more then just three children he sexually assulted. and if he gets out he'll just do it again. hes a horrible person.

I "worked" at Kastle this summer. Some of the people there are GREAT!! Most of the employees were good people, and had no idea what was going on. We left when we became aware of some of these problems. Brian's wife is great though, so were his parents and cousin. Don't let what he did, and the anger there flow over to everyone please.

My family was told by an employee of the campground it was all alliant energys fault the power was shut off . The campgrounds check was on alliants desk for 3 weeks and was overlooked. shame on alliant for embarrassing kastle. We all know we can trust all of the employees of that place --sure man feed me some more bullshit

Repo man took the boats and the dock. Power is on but for how long? However, do not hold liable the 250+ seasonals at Kastle for what one person, one owner has done. Most seasonals are great people and go up to their campers to enjoy family time in the great outdoors. Kastle will be sold and a new owner will take over. We can only hope that things will settle down from the owner's issue, security misfits and the lack of office management.

I have to agree with you on some of your statements. I too work at Kastle, but not as part of security/ or office. Some of us who do work there weren't aware of what was happening. For many of us, we spend our whole day working with the campers, trying to have a positive outlook, because as a seasonal who has been here for many years, I have pride in what I do, and wish to portray that to the other campers. For those of us who have been here a long time, this is family. I can only hope that one person's actions doesn't destroy this family.
