First Fruits doesnt sell drinks. They area contract bottler for other companies. Those companies sell their drinks to their customers, wherever they may be. Press release last week said that one of their major drink companies had signed Richard Petty as their spokesman. I'd imagine most every business is having their share of difficult times in this global recession, and wish FF all the luck that they continue to be a good employer here in our community.

Soleau doesn't work. It's marketed as a weight loss drink. I drank it religiously for 30 days. Didn't help curb appetite any. Waste of money.

They're a counterpart to a microbrewery in the beer business. They get contracts from companies that usually have their own recipe but no bottling capabilities, and ff processes, bottles, labels and ships for several small companies. Pepsi and Coke have their waters and teas, but the other guys with regional markets go thru processors like ff. It's the way soft drinks used to be done.

At first fruits we are doing just fine business is picking up and we have new contracts. A new line will be put in by the end of this year due to not being able to keep up with the demand of production. As for soleau it's now called trim fit and if u diet and exercise like your supposed to then u will see results many of our own employees are proof! Earnie sullins just owned the building but we now own it an the doors are not closing anytime soon just Tj clear that up for all those who have nothing better to do then gossip!!! Richard petty is our new spokes person and big things are to come soon just wait and see!

If you're interested in trying some of the products bottled at ff, stop by Handsome Molly's, across from the Lincoln Theatre.

Petty used to be the spokesperson for a hamburger chain back in the day. Sponsor tie-ins are bigger than just line of sight - it's people respected by the customer base. I'm not sure which drink Petty is tied in with - it may be one of the other drinks, not the diet drink. They bottle several different brands.

Gotcha! I remember the old Ray's Kingburger and the Petty's Pack - they marketed it as "The Faster You Go, the More You Need Ray's!" It's a tie in between the company and who they see as someone their prospective customers respect and admire. Petty has a tremendous following - good luck!

That's the idea - the more we promote and pull for local businesses, the better we all are. Sometimes, businesses close, move, or fail, and with that comes job losses and lost opportunity. We've had too much of that already. Let's celebrate our successes and wish each other well instead of looking for opportunities to bash all the time. Plus, it keeps down the indigestion!

Richard Petty is still very respected today. Still has a lot of influence and followers. (Just like Elvis and no disrespect he is no longer alive, so what does that tell you).
