Hot, dry, smelly asphalt, and looking forward to the sun setting somewhere in the mountains. Speaking of mountains, you people are blessed, I hope you know that.

Makes me think of long days in a creek, swinging on the old tire swing, fresh veggies from the garden. Front porches, breaking green beans with the neighbors. It makes me think of suntanned skin, lightning bugs, camping and most of all my youth. I remember the summers being endless days and nights of fun with my friends, we worked outside with our parents, but the fun we had later made up for it. Summer nights were always the best, night swimming in a lake, or sneaking off to the "blue hole" to take a dip. The local fairs and festivals- sometimes I think I can still smell the stale popcorn, funnel cakes and suntan lotion lol. Summer lasted forever, anything was possibe. Summer night dates,with your summer fling, warm skin, and thick night air, cruising town with the windows down. Now it seems that summer passes just like every other day. To be young again, those were the days. Thanks for letting us take a trip down memory lane.
