If what you are talking about is what I think you are talking about, I think its a bunch of much to do over nothing, in my opinion. Yeah, it wasn't exactly legal, but I don't really see it comparing to all those wonderful little issues we have with meth making and robberies around here.

Maybe that why we have so much meth. Crooked cops. And I'd say it is over what you think.

Butch... I will agree about crooked cops. But in this case I think there is more hot air over something that could have been handled outside of the court system by an administrative slap on the wrist on the inside. Granted, using the phone in the manner that it was is a careless thing, yeah, it might have been eating up minutes. But chances are there was probably an unlimited minutes plan on it to begin with... and I think that any person that has never been found guilty of using a company phone to call their spouse, check on an ad in the Trade Times, or settle up a bit of trading with a buddy during lunch break should be the first to cast the stones. Yeah, this deal might have been a bit more serious than that, but in reality, that's all I see it as judging from what's been said.
And with that, much to do over nothing... our local crooked cops have done much worse in history than using a phone for non-work related issues.

I just wish that there was a legal defense fund established... I'd contribute.
