It seems William Spengler killed his 92yo Grandmother with a hammer. This was what he spent 17 or 18 yrs in prison for, and also is the reason he was not allowed to own a gun, which BTW didn't help his last victims. He probably could have owned a gun to more mercifully end the old ladies life, but instead chose to use a hammer. Will this lead us to believe, just as we are taught to believe that Pot leads to harder drugs, that possessing a hammer leads us to own guns? Hell, let's put tighter hammer control laws into effect right away! I know, here comes the NHA lobbying the White House.....saying all law abiding citizens should be packing a damn hammer. Hey you think I'm serious, but don't it make about as much sense as all this gun control crap? Bet half of you don't even know who Spengler is.

Just shows there are more ways to kill than just with guns. I don't understand why he was out of jail in the first place. This could have been prevented with a life sentence!

I was confused as to why this POS was walking the street. This goes to show, outlaws WILL always have guns. Just because the law said he couldn't have one didn't make a shit load of difference to him, now did it?

I say outlaw swimming pools. A lot of people drown in pools made in China.

Don't give these stupid assed liberals any ideas......there's already talk of making ammo unattainable. The way these warped minded democruds think...that would not be against your 2nd amendment rights.

Who the hell did you think I got the idea from. Obama's proposed 500% ammo tax when he was an Illinois senator. They already got that thought in their communist minds.

99.9% of all guns are not used in violent crime.
99.8% of all guns are not used in crime at all.
Guns are 4 times more likely to be used in self defense. 98% of that usage the gun wasn't even fired. 1% of that time was the gun taken and used on the victim.

Only 4% of guns used in crimes were obtained illegally.

With all that in mind, it doesn't really seem like America has a gun problem. So why does anyone need to own a gun in the first place?

You sound like John, and John is a pretty fella. I'd like to "meat" you John, I know you would like me. Aren't I pretty? You're the kind of guy I would like to be locked in prison with.

That tells me you're paranoid and mentally unbalanced. So why should you have a gun?

Maybe YOU are mentally unbalanced.

How about they come and put YOU in a strait jacket and start analyzing YOUR brain?

The people who try to use that against others they do not like or agree with need to relies how easy it is to use it against them.

I'm perfectly fine. The gentleman thinks he needs a gun because of me? That tells me he's irrational and doesn't need a gun.

It reminds me of a joke.

A state trooper pulls an elderly woman over and sees she has a CCP. The trooper asks if she has any concealed weapons and she advises she has one in her center console, one in her person and one inside her trunk. The trooper than asks "what are you scared of" and she replies, "not a damn thing".

That's paranoia. People like that don't need a gun.

That's an old "JOKE" and that's all it is. A joke. I wouldn't blame the old lady for having all those guns though....seems it would have been a good determent to someone like Spengler. No, it's not paranoia.....it's common sense.

Common sense is to carry 3 guns at a time?

No.....the old lady joke is just that. A joke. One gun is probably enough to carry, although I carry one on my person and one in the glove box or center console of whatever I'm driving on a given day. And it has nothing to do with being paranoid....I just don't take chances with the vermin of the world today. Trusting people become victims more often than cautious ones.

You're a smart guy Harley, so I'm sure you understand my point. If guns are used that little in crime than does anyone really need to carry a gun?

You SAY you are perfectly fine. People with sever mental health issues usually believe they "are perfectly fine" and that others are crazy.

Maybe we should send some people to your home and have you "held" for "evaluation".

Don't worry. Its OK. Do not resist. This is for your protection.
