Why does the 6th and 7th grade not get to dress out for P E.? After being told to buy clothes for this class. Also, the 7th grade has 120 children in the class. With only 3 teachers!!!! They are not allowed to dress out so they go to class sweaty the rest of the day. And if that is not enough there is no bell to let them know when to change class and all the clocks a set different. Does school anymore? Something needs to be done now.

I have a granddaughter there and I am tired of seeing her so down. Every day it has been so bad for her. I am going to see how today went and then maybe I need to go talk to someone about this school.

I have had many bad experiences with the office ladies. Those two act like they run the school.

Go to your school board representative. This is what I did when my son was having trouble at the Intermediate School and no one would do anything. We got things taken care of the way they needed to be then.

What I don't understand is why they would have 120 children at one time in a PE class. How can 3 people control 120 children.

We never had a good experience with that school when our boys were there. Something needs to be done. Children should not be treated like cattle. Marion school has always been for the rich people's children, not for the poor working man's children. I want to thank all of you for your feedback.

If the school is so bad, which I'm not saying it isn't,why get on here and complain. You need to be finding out who to contact to straighten things out and here is not the right place.

I think it has something to do with children under 13 changing clothes in front of one another. Its a locker room. I don't think they have separate changing rooms for the kids.

I was at that school in the 90s I think the most memorable thing that comes to mind is the gross cafeteria. I remember seeing food EVERYWHERE all over the serving line, on the floor underneath and even on the glass in front of the serving line. Usually a spoon or two had been dropped in the serving pans and we had to fish those out with our hands...eww!
I do vividly recall right after the new cafeteria opened, there wasn't a lot of space between the new serving line and the wall behind it...I had to tread through spilled ranch dressing from one end of that serving line to the other and those lazy bums working there didn't life a finger to clean anything up!

to Camo11....you tell me then where I can go and get information. I am not complaining. I want answers!!! I thought this forum was to help the people of Marion to find out how to get some answers. Seems you don't know anymore about what to do, than I do. To Mee...sorry you had to go through all that mess just to eat lunch. To Previous Student...thank you for helping me understand about the changing rooms.

The number of students has to do with budget cuts and the clothing issue has to do with the time frame of only having PE for 30 mins. IF they changed then they would not have time to exercise.

I wish when people get on here, they wouldn't complain to make it sound like the whole school is bad. I know that there are great teachers and students that are there, and some of you make it sound awful! I personally disagree with the fact that they treat kids differently because of money. I know that there are a lot of people there that have personally done a lot for the kids that are disadvantaged and try to help in every way they can! You can't judge everyone in the school because of a few bad experiences!!!!
