Well there genius....If you had payed attention during the whole comment you would have realized that i never said that the murder was right....nope pretty sure that wasn't in there so before you expend all your energy by jumping to conclusions...you should try and focus on the facts that were stated....Murder is wrong on any level but don't lash out on the first person who gets arrested...i would think you would rather be sure you have the right people who actually killed the boy and see them suffer the consequences rather than going of a wild assumption and ruining the lives of people who had nothing to do with it....your police investigators have no solid proof that the Crouse boys actually did any of this and weren't set up...
As a matter of fact, I'm not jumping to conclusions. I was strictly responding to your comment that he may have done something that put him in that situation and that maybe he could have avoided it. Those comments imply that you feel that he could have been responsible for what happened to him. NO person could do anything bad enough to be beaten and murdered.I never once stated anything that implied that the persons being held were responsible for what happened.Maybe you need to reread my post. There was never any statements made in it about anyone involved other than that the fact that a life was taken and there was NO reason to warrant it.

Good Grief! Get a grip! This has nothing to do with anything in the movies. These people that did this are well old enough not to be influenced by that stuff. These people knew what they were doing when they did it. It don't matter what role they played in it they are ALL GUILTY!!!.
I agree whoever did this is guilty and deserves to be punished. But our society has a problem and it starts with Mom and Dad and what is going into our heads on a regular basis! SEX,PROFANITY,MURDER,making heros out of these people in the movies and television. YES, there is a problem. Does this have anything to do with the Combs case, maybe not. But you would have to agree the people that did this did not WATCH CLEAN MOVIES,HAVE A CLEAN MOUTH,ATTEND CHURCH REGULARLY,HAD DAILY DEVOTIONS WITH THEIR KIDS,CAME FROM A DRUG/ALCHOHOL FREE HOME,TOOK CARE OF THEIR HOMES,FAMILIES AND PERSONAL HEALTH,HELD DOWN A FULL TIME JOB,ETC,ETC.... Were they influenced??? WE ALL ARE INFLUENCED BY SOMETHING OR SOMEONE EVERYDAY OF OUR LIVES....YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH THAT?

I have heard some mention about this combs boy having "special needs".....but in todays society many thing s constitute special needs....a speach impediment or attention disorders or vision problems are seen as special needs....and if the boy was such an amazing kid and always checked in why would his parents wait so long to report him missing....what was he doing in his spair time that maybe his parents didn't know about....people need to realize that drugs have a power over people that is unbelievable and no one wants to believe their child would do something bad....but if he bought a "fix" his rear end couldn't cash then he probably got himself into to trouble with people he shouldn't have....was it worth his life??? Absolutely not...but don't lay the blame on souly on the people who took his life when he could have done things to avoid the situation all together....these mens family members shouldn't be disrespected because people are grieving....yes you want to lash out but be careful who you lash out towards
in some way everyone involved had good in them, the families of the ones who did it are hurting too and in shock and also their friends.i kno of them and yes there were good in these people but they deserve what they get

I think this whole topic needs to end. It is a shame what is being said, and I have heard so many stories that don't even relate to each other. Nobody on here knows what happened unless you were there, and if you were then you are just as guilty for not stopping it or attempting to stop it. I personally know Nathan and I'm sick of hearing about his "specail needs", he is actually a really smart person no matter what the doctors say. If any thing he might have been just a little bit slow or have a speach impediment, but he was damn sure smart enough to graduate high school and it doesn't even matter about what kind of mental problems he had. This is already done and there is no fixing it, you can't undo the already done, but running your mouths on topix is beyond disrespectful. RIP Nathan you were a great friend and will be truely missed, Thanks for everything you done for me and all the laughs we shared together, you were a true friend and I hope who ever was involved in this gets theirs.

A regular grand jury seated next week will consider capital murder indictments against a father and son from Sugar Grove already charged in connection with the abduction of 18-year-old Nathan Cord Combs.
Smyth County Commonwealth’s Attorney Roy Evans confirmed Tuesday that he will present the grand jury indictments charging Daniel Brice Crouse, 38, and Garrett Crouse, 18, with the capital murder of Combs. Evans said he will also present indictments charging Ricky Joseph James, 24, of Marion, with accessory to capital murder.
Evans said additional related charges will also be sought. He said further forensic confirmation is necessary to determine if the facts support Virginia’s requirements for consideration of the death penalty.
Combs’ body was found around 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Comer’s Creek area of Smyth County, according to Sheriff David Bradley.
His parents last saw him around 12 p.m. March 4.
Bradley said the Marion Police Department took a missing person report for Combs, whose address was on Catron Street in Marion, on March 7.
Bradley said a witness reported at the Marion Police Department on March 10 that “foul play may be involved” in Combs’ disappearance.
Another witness the same day reported Combs and three others were “held against their will for approximately one hour at a location off Maywood Lane” in Marion, Bradley said.“According to witnesses, the abductors left the scene and Nathan Combs has not been seen since.”
MPD contacted the sheriff’s office on March 11 for assistance with the investigation.
On Saturday morning, March 12, Bradley released a statement requesting information about Combs’ whereabouts. That statement said Combs “has attention deficit disorder and according to his father has left home before, but would always call home or return soon thereafter.”
On Saturday evening, another statement from the sheriff said Combs’ body had been found.
Interviews with witnesses and suspects resulted in abduction-related charges against five people, Bradley said.

The sheriff said Daniel Brice Crouse and Garrett Brice Crouse, of the same Sugar Grove Highway address, are each charged with four counts of abduction and four counts of conspiracy to commit abduction.
Bradley said the elder Crouse is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, four counts of abduction, and four counts of conspiracy to commit abduction.
Mindie Mae Davidson, 32, also of the Crouse home, is charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit abduction, Bradley said.
Sheriff’s investigator Chip Shuler said Davidson was “a paramour to Daniel Crouse.”
James, of Buck Lane, Marion, is charged with abduction, Bradley said.
Michael Ray Brown Jr., 37, of Spring Street, Galax, is charged with four counts of abduction and four counts of conspiracy to commit abduction, Bradley said.
The sheriff said all of the suspects are being held without bail in Southwest Virginia Jail at Abingdon.
In a conference call Tuesday, Evans and Shuler could release little additional information about the abductions or the death of Combs pending action by the grand jury. Evans did say the abductions took place “in short order in the March 4 and 5 timeframe.”
They declined to discuss the relationships among the suspects, but said Combs and the other abductees were “acquaintances.”
Shuler and Evans declined to talk about motives in the incidents and Combs’ cause of death, but Evans confirmed these were not random incidents.
Warrants for the suspects’ arrests were sought and obtained on March 12 and the arrests followed the same day, Shuler said.
Bradley said his office, the Marion Police Department and the Virginia State Police were following leads on the whereabouts of Combs, 18, when his body was found. Evans and Shuler declined to discuss what led authorities to the body.
Bradley said Combs was wanted on an outstanding warrant “issued for property damage and law enforcement had been looking for him prior to him being reported missing.”
Shuler said the offense occurred Feb. 25, and the warrant for Combs was issued March 5.
Court records showed Garrett Brice Crouse was charged April 5 for a concealed weapon violation. Evans said Marion police handled that incident, but declined to discuss it further.
More details about the charges will be available after the grand jury completes its work, which Evans expects to be late in the afternoon of March 25.
Combs’ body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke Monday for autopsy

I agree with you. This should not be a topic but only a prayer line for Nathan's family and friends as well as for the other families that are dealing with this tragedy. My daughter knew him also and said he was a very sweet guy. Let us all please show support, prayers, and love for the family and stop the gossip.

Like i said before the truth will come out & people like you should really shut the f*** up until it does!!!!
So, let me get this straight.. He knows nothing.. and he wasn't there... Well, they obviously wouldn't arrest him for nothing!!! They would have had to found SOME evidence, may it be that the person was with the other people earlier in the day! And like you said, the truth will come out.. SO WHY DOESNT HE SPEAK!?!? I'm thinking that maybe YOU know something about this situation, and in this case, YOU should be in that persons place!!

Hey you guys, you all can argue and this stupid shit, but you really wanna pick and choose who is too blame. honestly? grow the hell up. Nathan is dead, and if you knew him, he wouldn't hurt a fly. so if you wanna bash him you can just go the hell on, this is not for you to trash talk shit. And if you really wanna believe that these people are innocent, you really need to check your shit, i will tell you i am all for there thinking about sending these people to death row, hell i support it 100% simply because what they done to Nathan. For those who agree with me, you rock, but for the others, if Nathans family reads this, its gonna kill them a lil bit more, so go on some where. cause i mean you can only imagine it being your child right? Go to court for these men and watch as they burn.

as for you who have yet too see what these men and woman look like check this website out and just look up their names (: https://www.vinelink.com/vinelink/siteInfoAct...

Really? His special needs were mentally. And for a person 18 years or older, they have to be missing atleast a certain amount of time before the law will do anything about it. His family know how he was and they acted upon it within the time frame they did. And no one's laying the blame on the scum bags families. A person can raise their child to be a perfect person and then that child turn out to be a serial killer. It doesn't matter how you raise your child, they can change. Like someone said in a previous post, you don't raise your children to kill people. So the only people being blamed for Nathan's death is the worthless bastards that done it. And since you said "this combs boy" I'm assuming you didn't know Nathan and you probably don't know your @$$ from the hole in the ground about this case and what's going on. So why don't you go some where else and F**K OFF!!! Nathan did NOTHING to deserve this. Even if he fell in with the wrong people, or had info on such and such, or whatever it may have been...NO ONE deserves to die and especially in the way Nathan was murdered. These people are scum bags and worthless. They aren't even people. They are animals. Like someone else said...Marion should have had a hanging for the sick bastards who done this. And honestly, I don't care how much grief the other families go through because even though their loved ones get sent to prison their child is STILL alive. However, Nathan's family will no longer be able to see Nathan get older, probably get married, maybe have a family, or whatever it may be because nasty sick @$$ twisted bastards had to go and cut his life short. The other families can visit their child in prison, get phone calls from there, and write them. Nathan's family will never be able to hug him, talk to him, see him, or anything anymore because people had to go and be little punk @$$ b!tches about the whole situation. So before you run your mouth about anything, maybe you should get all the facts and ACTUALLY have known Nathan!! He was an actual special needs child. People like you need to go lay an egg somewhere and get the facts straight. Then you can come back.
Nathan: I'm praying for justice for you day in and day out. These A-HOLES will get what they deserve and still yet, that will still be too good for them. There is no sentence good enough for them. If they get to live, that'll be too good for them. If they get the death penalty (doubt it but just saying in example) it will be too good for them. If they rot in hell, it'll be too good for them.
it was not
Uncommon for him to be missing for a couple of days. He would leave home and they would not hear from him for days then he would show back up at home.

it may have been common but nothingreally, does it honesty matter now. Its done happened and if you have read he was held along with three people for about an hour, so regards if he just left home or was taken he is still dead and it happened before he even had a chance too call his parents and say anything so don't throw that up.

it's terrible what has happened. leave the family alone and let them grieve. "praying for justice?" wtf does that mean? the Lord is always just. if you're praying for those responsible to be put to death, that's not a very christian thing to do, is it? let God deal with them. if you want to be all "look at me, i'm a christian...", stop gossiping about the murder and talking about vengeance.

Nathan was a very nice person, as well as Garrett (used to be) its soo bad how drugs can change a person from a person to a demon!!! Thats exactly what the whole thing was over and it's sad!!! I went to school with Garrett and with Nathan and niether of them would have been thought to do something like this!! But like i said drugs will change everyone! Garrett was the son, Danny was the father, Mindie was the dads girl friend and the Ricky James Jr guy was just there so he was charged as well!! I am praying for Nathans famiy and I hope and PRAY that these sick people get EXACTLY what they deserve and thats the death sent!!

i can not believe as a parent that this man could stand in front of his child and take another childs life. i have heard nothing but the up most respect that everyone had for this young man. he did have special needs you know these people had to know this.they had no reason to do the things i have heard and i hope they have to go thru the seens that day everyday of their life and when they are asleep. may god help them remember it every breathing moment.and that still isn't good enough.i hope we have justice in the courts for this family.

Justice does not necessarly mean being put to death. In my opinon, yes they should be put to death and tortured the EXACT same way poor Nathan was, but justice can be served in more then one way.
