Isn't the whole point of a tourism board to attract tourists? Not drive them away? I guess we must surmise that South Carolina does not welcome the gays (or for that matter any other minority)? If a three day tour had been arranged for the senior citizens or Japanese tour groups, I don't think any fuss would have been raised.

I will continue flying over on my way to Miami or Atlanta where the welome mat is OUT.

I would expect a comment like that from the rednecks in Myrtle Beach. But the people from Charleston usually have more class than that. I bet you have glass packs on your jacked up 4x4 pickup truck. We do not have to like the gay life style, but we should not go around making people think that all southerners are a bunch of dumb azz Neanderthals.

I do have quite a red neck but get it from playing golf. No jacked up pickup but my well tuned 1960 Ferrari California Spyder sounds really nice. I just don't happen to like queers, many of whom carry the deadly disease of HIV/AIDS. If you haven't heard, this isn't Russia so I can have and voice any opinion I desire and so can you. Since it's apparent that you don't like mine, you can have all the queers visit and live in the sticks of Litle River. While you're at it, take all the Gingers and Illegals too. We would love you for that!!!!!

I have no problem with your opinion. I am just sick and tired of these dumb azz, s making use look like racist, bigots, and rednecks. Charleston has its share of college student, and tourist. Who will want to visit or live in a place with so many haters? We donít air are dirty little secrets for all to read. Some of us have jobs in the tourist industry and we do not need this kind of talk hurting are southern reputations. That is the same kind of trash talk that has destroyed the Myrtle Beach community. I agree that it is not Russia and yet in a failing economy the people of Myrtle Beach are trying to ban one of the last truly American groups of people. People buy American and ride American. Iím talking about the Harley Davidson riding true American bikers. I would think that some one in Charleston could learn from the mistakes that Myrtle Beach is making.
That is Charleston S.C. isnít it? Or was that Charleston West Virginia.

Yes, but neither should we encourage a destructive lifestyles and behaviors. And yes, to the poster above you, the Bible does denounce it as a sin. It's not in the Ten Commandments, it's in the book of Leviticus. I don't advocate mistreating or harassing people who are homosexuals, but they cannot dictate to the rest of us ( about 94%) that we should accept their doctrine.

Its to bad that S.C. is so against tha gays.Look at Miami,Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Scottsdale and so. All of these places prosper. In case you are not aware the gays for the most part are all quite wealthy with huge houses and several cars. Our communities dont have run down homes and forclosures. Learn from this you bunch of rednacks.

I don't tend to look at those cities as "prosperous" matter of fact, I tend to think they are crap bowls. Lot of pollution, lot of crime, lot of worthless people, etc.

And you are implying most gay people are wealthy?
thats a joke i hope

NO, not a joke. I dont know what your town looks like but I do know Myrtle Beach. That is a hick town to say the least, I use to own a few condos for rentals. And yes those cities as you put it are prosperous, I happen to live in a nice community (gated) with homes from 1 mil up to 3.5 mil. I wont lie I live in one of the smallest homes in the community but thats ok by me.Do some research, when the gays move into an area its only a matter of time the home value improves. Thats a fact, I know you dont like gay people but you could learnfrom them.

whoa, wait a minute jerk, I never said I didn't like gay people. For the record, I don't care about them one way or another. You can do whatever you please.

I do hate arrogant people, and you seem to be arrogant. I really hate people who lie, and you seem to be a liar. Lets do some simple theorizing...Gay people are more ostracized than any other group of people, therefore they lack certain opportunities. I would think just based on that they would statically be a lesser portion of them wealth then say another less ostracized group.

And I really donít care if your ďnice CommunityĒ is gated, the Zoo is gated, do you belong there? I pretty sure the gorilla enclosure cost more than million, does that make the gorillas superior to the monkeys?

And why donít you show me the stats on home prices improving upon the gay arrival. All the cities you listed are at the top of home foreclosures you nit-wit. Grow a mind, and then start using it, before you go off on another arrogant rant.
