Religion and science used to work hand in hand. Many of our greatest scientist were very religious like I Newton and yes Darwin. The christen churchs used to adjust their views to take into account new scientific discoveries. It was not until the late 19th and 20th century that christen fundamentalists reversed this and started to disregard science. It has now come to the point that many fundamentalist are anti science, which makes no sense to me. Gravity is still a therory isn't it?
As far as people pushing their beliefs these fundamentalist christens seem to me to be far worse for this. Just look at all the bumper stickers and the religious rights in politics.

Actually Science has tried very hard to disprove God but fact is they only back up the Word. The Bible has been found to be historically accurate. Archaeologists have found ancient cities and famous places which were recorded in the Bible. The Bible refers to the earth in Genisis that the earth was void and without form before God began to create what we see now. 2 nd Peter refers to the earth as the "dateless past". So the Bible does not specify how old the earth is, it could be 10, 20 million years old doesnt matter. But as far as science and evolution are concerned the missing link is still missing! They expect me to believe and teach my children that millions of years ago there was a pool of water and one day light shined on it and after many more years a tadpole formed in that pool. Then it crawled out of the water and back in and over time it grew lungs and lived on the land and grew a tail and hunh from a tree and thats your great great grandfather. Im not stupid enough to believe that! I dont have enough faith to believe that! Ill never tell my children they came from a monkey. And most importantly there is no evidence of monkeyman. Just a theroy.

Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God, whose minds the god of this age has blinded. But the natural man does not recieve the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them, having their understanding darkened because of the blindness of their heart, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

My neighbor, In my own experience of sharing the gospel with the secular and academic worlds, I personally have never heard a single individual- who has honestly considered the real evidence-( from scientific facts to archaeological discoveries) deny that Jesus Christ IS the Son of God and Savior of men. The evidence confirming the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is overwhelmingly conclusive to any honest, objective seeker after the truth. I think you are just that - an objective seeker, I feel you have not recieved the tangible truths; As some of our churches today lack in knowledge of the study of apologetics and are tragically sidestepping the gift(art) of evangalism. My friend what if I told you that I can prove to you the fact that Truly the Lord lives and His word can be trusted, and its accurate historically and supernaturally! Would you be interested? Please feel free to contact me at email@example.com om Thanks.
