just wanted to let everyone be aware that there will be another junk yard opening on east court street. scotts transmission clinic will be on the same side of the street as george longs junk yard. east court street is looking better and property values are sky rocketing. yeah ok. who am i kidding?

The building where Scott's is going has been a garage many times before, so why does who runs it make a difference?

I wasn't trying to disagree, I just don't get why that particular building should be a big deal. Have you looked at Long's place or on the opposite side of East Court Street down below the road where all the junkers sit?

give it a month or two and we will see. east court street is just becoming such an eyesore. i agree with across the road too and how about the old karate building have you looked at it lately? and btw i wasnt pointing my finger at who is going to be running the place. i was just making a point. whoever it is needs to keep all the crap out of the way.

i totally agree, it looks like crap on that side of town. They need to have some kind of city ordenance to keep trash like this off our city streets.these kinds of busisneses make this town a dump, im not saying that we dont need the jobs , just keep them cleaned up !

yeah steve keeter would roll over in his grave if you knew how junked up that place is now. i remember he kept it more organized without running a junkyard there.

There IS an ordinance.

I know someone who was disabled for a few months after surgery and her "neighborly" neighbors never offered to check on her or help her with anything, but her grass got a little high and they called the city on her.(she doesn't even live in a high profile part of the city. she lives on a side street)

The neighbors told lies on the lady and after her grass got mowed and her yard cleaned up, the ordinance officer (a man then) told her she still needed to do such and such to her yard. Told her to hire a landscaper to "fix her yard". He was extrememly rude to her.

She called one of the officers who was filling in for the chief position at the time and asked him come to her house and show her what the problem was. Lo and behold, the only problems he pointed out were over her property line at another neighbors house.

They also passed an ordinance a few years ago that any vehicle not tagged and insured has to be out of view of the public. However, I believe there are loopholes for car lots and junk yards.

I'm hungry for a man to have a good time with. It won't bother me if a man farts once in awhile.

Refering to the ordinance issues is all I was making comment to.

How the city will crack down on some and let others get by.

Yes car lots have exception, but if you own the property next to your lot it cant be a residence and have untagged vehicles sitting, as it appears long auto has been doing for years
