yal ought not b on here talkin bout people. that is wrong, not cool @ all. if u dont like a restaurant, then fine, but keep n mind that people have feelings! how would u like it if someone was talking crap about u? And another thing, u shouldnt be saying things about people that r not true. not only can u ruin someones name but u can ruin there repitashon and hurt there feelings and buisness by saying stuff that isnt true!! and i eat there all the time and there food is DELICIOUS. not everyones taste buds r the same....

Oh Yeah, i forgot to put it n my last comment. The food is DELICIOUS @ MARKET GRILL. It doesnt have to b a fancy, expensive, five star restaurant to b good. I, myself, think those fancy, expensive, restaurants suck!!! I like a down to earth, good country homestyle cooking restaurant, like Market Grill..Thats the kind of restaurant that knows how to cook.. And they r very friendly and nice there, unlike those expensive, fancy, snobie restaurants that curl there nose's up @ u if u r not rich and dressed to match the restaurant. I think i will stick with my kind of restaurant, whether yal it or not!!!!!=)~

I always loved the burgers at Buck's Grill, the chicken at the Harvest Restaurant and the footlongs with chili at the Jumbo.

RE: Still From Marion........
How long has it been since you been to dust bowl Marion? For starters Bucks grill as you call it, which in it's day was called Little Buck's, has been gone from here for many years. Next, the Jumbo, which was known as The Jumbo Grill closed down not to long after those teenagers showed their ass in their hotrods and big bad ass state trooper Tommy Adams chased after them down 221 until he ran their car into that rock and killed them all, you got to remember that right. But we know how he loved to chase people and show his authority. Now for the Harvest, that one is still in business. I hate that the guy that owned the T-Type sold it, was a super nice ride.

Thanks for you inane correction of my post. I was being nostalgic going back to a time where there was good food and good times in that little chit hole. I haven't been there in decades and according to what I read from the people still living in that prison you call a town, I'm not missing much.

Cloudy's a dickhead. It's true, there are plenty here just like him. Some are even worse.
There are also plenty of wonderful people here. Why I bet even ole Cloudy is a nice person every once in awhile. He does it by mistake of course, and reverts to his evil dickheaded ways pretty quickly. Hey, a bird's gotta fly, eh?....

Best place to eat in McDowell County is The Wild Moose Steak & Grille in Old Fort - great quality food, cooked right ~ nice atmosphere and reasonable price for that kind of food. The Prime Rib is awesome!

I have tried to eat there but the food was lousy, service sucked and the clientel(sic) is worse than the food. The only good thing is the door, you can turn around and go right back out!

you're stupid. i guess you would rather have the frozen bbq that wasnt cooked on site when gary and lonnetta had the place. it seems to me that there is a bigger crowd there eating now compared to back then

Countryside's BBQ is much better with the new owner in charge, but now their red slaw isn't fit to eat IMHO... I can't figure why they changed it into something so bland. No matter because their white slaw is great. Nice people there, too.

For Mexican, El Jalepeno is best by a long shot. Food of that quality in a Mexican restaurant is rare, and I would not expect to see it in a town like Marion. I have friends and family from Charlotte and Raleigh who can't visit without going there at least once because they can't get Mexican food like that where they live. If they were in a big city they would be huge in no time. I just hope they can get enough business here to stay afloat.
