The local jury of YOUR PEERS is not so bright as you will see if you read about the case involving the death of the woman who presented to the ER after the birth of twins and was the victim of gross medical error that ultimately resulted in her death. Anyone with medical knowledge would know the diagnosis of pneumonia was far fetched in the face that she was peripartum - and because it was Mcdowell Hospital and no one was there to read the xray on the weekend it didn't get read for 2 days. How could the hospital get off on this case?? Because - the jury was YOUR PEERS. If they had tried this case in a city where more than 10% of the population has college degree the hospital would have lost on this one.

Learn from this 1. GO TO MISSION OR GRACE 2. Stay out of the local court

McDowell is a mission hospital. Mission is no better I could have sued for the treatment my son received at mission but instead I was just relieved that wake Forrest did everything mission didn't. Mission would have let my boy die and that's a fact. Not to mention when I needed stitches in my head I got to sit in the waiting room of the er covered in blood for four hours before I seen a doctor at mission

I'm really surprised at the amount of people in McDowell that have medical degrees, and know what should happen better than the professionals. The jury got the evidence that we don't see. They more than likely made the right decision.

They did make the right decision, I was on the original jury 2 years ago.

They screwed up big time. That poor excuse of a PA Riser needs to be banned from working in health care. If I remember correctly he sent a lady home who was bitten by a poisonous snake and she died to. He thinks everyone who goes to the er is the for pain pills. It's easier and cheaper just to buy them. I had him a few times at another office and would've got better care in a basically death camp. Not to mention he's an asshole! But that's my opinion. He really got lucky there were 12 retards that got to go on a field trip.

Lawsuit or not, he is for sure an a**hole and it would be smart to avoid his "care". Dont think they let him work the er anymore but they cant let him go because that would be admitting his care is a risk to your life.
