i buy second hand sometimes too...i did not say i had anything against yard sales, my thoughts is maybe it will help cut down on some of the junk stands people have around town<quoted text>
Do you realize how many people around here can't even afford to even go to Walmart and buy clothes? I have been down on my luck a few times and shopped at plenty second hand stores, or tried to. Most of what I find there is not what I'm looking for, sometimes I get lucky, but not always. Not everyone can go out and look on a certain Saturday morning so if you sell a few times a month you give more people a chance to see the items you have. I actually have better stuff than most will be able to find in a lot of the second hand stores and it's cheaper. This helps a lot of people in our county out. If you don't want to go to a yard sale, then don't go.
It's not like we are going to have a lot of people moving in because we cut down on yard sales. McDowell needs jobs, then we will be able to have less yard sales and people may actually want to be here. The county is great, having to drive to a different county for a work isn't.
there is people in town that have yard sales that sell great clothes and other stuff too,and yeah in some instances they sell a little to cheap
i did read some of them and someone ask why people don't have the yard sale at their own house and in most cases they sell junk that don't work so when you try to find somebody to get your money its a dead end and you lose your money
