Parker, Those are not school sponcered remarks. The board took the correct actions on adopting the new policy. If you want prayer in school sponcered activities go to a Christen school. Kid can STILL pray in school between classes and after school but the school can't push one religion over another.

Who cares... if you want your kids fed that crap, then take them to church... School is for learning about reality not some ghost in the sky.

All this over some church convincing parents to lie and cheat on their kid's homework so they could get on Fox again. This is sad. Let's break out the Koran at the next school board meeting and see how far the religious freedom goes then. Just another attempt by the Christian majority to trample others rights.
I agree... it's funny they stir the pot like this but if a Muslim kid were to drop to the classroom floor and pray, these so-called Christians around here would shit a cold wet brick. They don't give a damn about freedom of religion unless it's theirs.

No one is advocating for "teaching" about a ghost in the sky. Are you actually aware of what the issue is or are you just spouting off some BS you hear on MSNBC?

That's how our Country started. Most elected officials want what they believe in and not what the "will" is.
The majority is suppose to have their way being it Christians or Athiests or whatever else is beleived. If we continue to shy away from our elected officials (all over the United States) not doing the will of the people, then we are just a closer step in the socialism/communist society we are heading towards....
For those who like where we are going, please move to Korea, Russia or any other Socialism/Communist country you would like and please don't continue to want it here!

No, you yourself need to go back to school because you missed that part of American history. The minority are protected by the Constitution, the majority does not make the laws for everyone to go by. We are a Republic governed by democracy principles and I doubt you even know what socialism is. As far as moving to Russia, you bible thumpers should all move to Iran and live under a theocracy, then you could have all the God you could muster....

The parents cheated and did the kid's homework. They get pissy because the school is following the law. So, they clarified the written rules. Deal with it.

Honestly, if these hicks could be bothered to actually read the Bible, they would know that prayer should be restricted, alone, and only in utter privacy. Matthew 6:6

This thread just goes to show people in this backwoods place don't know what they are talking about.

The separation of church and state is a good thing.... good for the church and good for the state. I find it funny these "extreme" Christians want the school to lead prayer but the moment a teacher or coach led a muslum or wiccan prayer, all hell would break loose.

You ignorant fools are going to keep right on until we have that in our school system as well.

What to teach you kids about God? TAKE THEM TO CHURCH! Not everyone wants to hear it and the ones who do knows where a church is. It's not like there isn't a church on every corner in this inbred, uneducated place.

Again, who is advocating for the teaching of God in the schools?

Comments like this prove that people like you have no idea what the issue is.

"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" Matthew 22:21

If you're a Christian shouldn't you, ya know, follow what your god says? Because it seems pretty clear even Jesus said separation of church and state seem to be in his teachings.

Also I leave the preaching to the preachers, they want the money.

Are you people high? You are using taxpayer money to support a private business? Dr. Jerri Martin if you are or have been abusing funds meant for county use I suggest 2 things, 1 you audit your books and repay any fund misspent and repay them immediately, 2 if you have to repay vacate your position immediately. I will be calling the state and federal authorities on Monday. Thievery is a crime and if there is even 1 instance of impropriety here I will make it my purpose to ensure you are prosecuted. Have a nice day

Be sure to go by and thank the ignorant redneck who did her kids homewwork and forced the issue. The schoolboard has no choice when one moran family tries to control the education of our young people. Church belongs in church and school belongs in school. This ignorant women did more damage than she is smart enough to know. She is no different than the women who got school prayer stopped. She had to have her 15-minutes of fame??

Some of the poster on here are so ignorant and ill advised. Do they wish to speak for all of us? I'm a very religious person, but schools are for education. I for one would favor taking sports and everything not directly related to education out of the school day, including drivers education. Our students are falling behind the rest of the worls and much of it is related far to much confusion in the running of our schools. Then the political activitist come up with a pack of lies to upset parents. The cow who did her childs homework and started this current round of gossip should be barred from school property.
