The county didn't like Dr Trollinger and they got his replacement only to dislike her too. I guess they won't be happy with anyone.

very sorry to see her go.I read the letter to the editor in todays paper. Very un fair.School system did not get into accreditation trouble over 1 year and will take moore than a year to fix it.this is the legacy of Dr Troll.

She may have inherited some issues however she proved herself to be reclusive not only to her own staff but the parents of this community as well. If any issues or concerns where brought to her attention she would forward the complaint onto a school principal etc never once standing up to take action her self.
As parents we are watching our public education system fall apart at the seams and we have witnessed someone who is more concerned about protecting her paycheck then fixing the mess this school system is in!
If we can ever find someone who is honestly more concerned for our children, ALL of our children and their education we might finally be on the right track. But that somebody is going to have to be made out of steel and heart and their last concern be a paycheck.
Walk around the schools after hours witness all of these educators who spend hours upon hours with our children in sports and other activites these people receive little to no extra compensation for the time spent with our youth but yet they are still there for our children.
The last thing I want to see in our next superintendent is another greedy spineless politician. Is that really too much to ask?

Glad to see there is another school board in this state more stupid that Mcdowell's, thought we had crown for that one, but miracles do happen. Hope they look closer to home this time, it's time for some real leadership this time.

What is wrong with directing the parent to the Principal? That is probably where the parent should have started in the first place. She can't undermine her Principals. No one gave this woman a chance. It doesn't matter who gets the position the people of McDowell County will not like them, and will treat them horrible just like they did her.

No wonder McDowell County can not improve. The people here SUCK!

She started off on the wrong foot. Our good christen community showed absolutly no forgivness. If we want excellence in our school we better open our eyes.

This county doesn't want local people in leadership either. They ran off Vicky Webb too. So don't say you want a local person. Be honest. The majority of the people in the county want a tobacco chewing hillbilly in the position. That's the only type person the majority can relate to.

Hope Ms. Gouge does not take it hate to see her run off too. With any luck gov mcrory will just close the school system and let all home school. Probably commissioners will take it over and put it under the dss financial umbrella
