the marion theater was on west court st behind the bank belks bought it when it ck
losed and made it an annex wbrm radio was next door up the stairs and the oasis theater was on main st it was beside where carrol kanipe has his insurance office now.it was in the buildng where mcdowell distributing is locate now close in late 1940s or early fifties. i ma seventy years old and i remember going there. cost a dime. pop gourley ran the newstand where carrol kanipe has the insurance office. you had to buy your drins and popcorn there

Yes she was a mean one...she would come into class looking for her glasses and they would be on the top of her head. The teachers were to scared to tell her.
